Benzos Roaring feeling in head...May be from Sam-E use?

I'm really worried as it seemed like I was getting better but now I have a roaring in my head. It's almost like I have congestion in my head and it's whooshing around and hissing and it feels like my brain is pulsating, making tinnitus worse. I had 2 months of benzo use and now being almost 35 days off. Worse upon waking and at night. I also got to a point where I was sleeping 5 hours and now I'm waking every 2 hours.

This is all after my GRAND idea to take some Sam-e for a few days to overcome benzo withdrawal depression. Boy do I wish i could go back in time. I was improving in physical symptoms but was suffering deep depression. I worked my way up from 25mg to 100mg Sam-e. I just got some blood results back and realized my b12 levels were optimal so I'm guessing I'm not an undermethylator.

My stupid trial left me with magnified withdrawal symptoms and I really regret it. How do I undo this? I did take 25mg niacin and I improved a bit but I'm not sure how to dose this. Do I take a small dose continuously for a week until it goes away or do I take one big dose and flush the Sam-e out of my system? When will I know to stop the niacin?

One thing I can tell you for sure is not to take a large amount of Niacin at once as it can lead to liver failure/toxicity. I hope someone who is better well versed on benzo withdrawals subject chimes in soon...

Don't dick around with niacin, it does not flush anything from your body. It does, however, dilate all your blood vessels temporarily and make you "flushed", if you take high doses.

Stop taking SAMe and wait it out. I have doubts it's the SAMe causing it because those sound like pretty common complaints of benzodiazepine withdrawal. On the other hand anxiety is a known side effect of SAMe therapy. Either way after a few days if the situation improves... then you'll know what to blame.

Thanks I'll be very cautious with the niacin! Yes they are benzo withdrawal symptoms but the day after I started Sam-e they started to increase. By day 3 I just knew something was changing and wasn't right which led me to stopping Sam-e.

LOL the only other way i can explain it is a whooshing sound or feeling, accompanied with some pressure in the head. It IS horrible.
