It's 3:30am and I can't sit or lie still for even one second. Literally one fucking second. My legs feel like there is current passing through them. I stopped bupe 2 days ago.

I took 150mg of seroquel and it did fuck all, just made me more tired. Has anyone ever beat this situation?

Opioids and DA agonists are generally regarded as the most effective treatments so taking a DA antagonist probably wasn't the best move. Benzodiazepines can also be quite useful.

Are you w/ding? If so, from what? Why not see a physician if this is so problematic.

This is pretty basic so I'll send it over to Basic Drug Discussion.

^ He's wd'ing from bupe and I agree taking DA antagonists will make the rls alot worse. Also avoid antihistamine's

I suffer from some seriously bad RLS as well. I am prescribed seroquel, but never take it because it makes me feel like a zombie if I use it as a sleep aid. But at times when I was starting to feel opiate withdrawal during the night, I had tried using seroquel to quell my retarded legs. I found out the hard way, that like Cane mentioned, it only made it WORSE.

For me, the most effective medications i can use for my RLS are opiates, certain benzos, and Soma. Soma is a magical drug, and it shouldn't be too hard to get it prescribed by a physician. I highly recommend it for all muscle-related scenarios.

My dad has RLS. Not caused by anything, just regular RLS. It doesn't affect him every night, but sometimes he has problems with it. Anyhow his doctor prescribed him clonazepam, 0.5 mg. It works really well for him.

Yeah clonazapam is a pretty common benzo prescribed for RLS related problems. That, along with diazapam(valium), both have very good muscle relaxation/anti-convulsant effects from them.

If your looking for a quick fix take a hot bath, the RLS will probly come back within 30-45 mins of gettin out but a hot bath feels like heaven

God I had the worst fucking RLS last night.

Not sure if it was from the 10mg Olanzapine or the 100mg Diphenhydramine i took, but it fucking sucked and i was wishing i had a shot of dope or a few mg of klonopin SO bad!

RLS is one of THE worst feelings, shits terrible

RLS sucks, I agree. Mirapex can be helpful for some in sub-Parkinsonian doses. Helps me when I'm having w/d from opiates/opioids.

It was probably the diphenhydramine that gave you the rls to be honest mate, I'm prescribe olanzapine and never get rls from it, however I quite often get it when I take diphenhydramine

^ Regarding the Diphen causing/provoking RLS : I just read an article about how prolonged use of diphenhydramine can cause or provoke restless leg syndrome. I had no idea! My b/f has RLS, and trouble sleeping, has been taking Diphen (about 8 pills just to be effective, which in my opinion = 'not' effective) for several years. I showed him the article and he was shocked! He said he'd stop taking it (or, as much of it) and I hope he's being truthful/honest w/ himself.
-- I'd cut back on diphen regardless.

I suggest clonazepam (short term, as you don't want to become dependent on it) while you see a Doctor and figure out another plan/option. Increase in exercise during the day 'does' help as does a hot bath. Sounds too simple, but actually IS effective.
