Ritalin, do you like it ?

When I took Ritalin the first few times, some years ago, it produced a very pleasant high.
Then after the first few times, it started making me sad and nervous instead of euphoric. From that time until now I have never re-experienced its euphoric effects; just saddness and nervousness.
Does anyone have any similar experiences ?
Will coke produce a similar effect ?
Any suggestions ?
 
Let's take a little look at fairnymph's stimulant heirarchy©:
(lowest) CAFFEINE -EPHEDRINE - RITALIN - COKE - AMPH/ADDERALL/DEXEDRINE -METH (highest)
note: the gaps between C-E-R-C are pretty small, the gap between coke and A/A/D is pretty big, the gap between A/A/D and meth is moderate.
As you can see, ritalin isn't too high on the list of stimulants. Personally, I think it really sucks, because I've had a lot of the stronger stimulants and in comparison ritalin feels like a few cups of coffee.
Also, unlike meth and addies and dexies, ritalin isn't even an amphetamine; it's in a different chemical class.
I find ritalin gives me headaches and makes me edgy, even the first times I used it. But I know other people who think ritalin is fantastic -- and most of these people haven't had good stimulants, so of course ritalin seems pretty good to them, hey, at least it's better than coffee.
If you don't like ritalin, I don't think you'll like coke that much, and I find I get a similar kind of edginess and headaches on coke. Personally, I find coke and ritalin almost equivalent. I've also NEVER had euphoria from ritalin, or from coke (unless I injected the coke). If you want euphoria, definitely go for the ADD meds or better yet, the meth.
 
Generally people who like coke like ritalin-its a cheap substitute when they don't have enough money for coke. I've noticed ritalin to be very unpredictable. The 1st couple times I snorted it, I got a nice buzz and felt kinda happy. A few months later, I snort some, get edgy, have a headache, almost no buzz...of course I continue to snort them regardless until I don't have any left. I find that snorting ritalin is pretty damn habit forming (like coke), maybe because it doesn't last very long and the comedown is pretty shitty.
As far as general stimulant effects, its pretty weak. I can snort some, eat a pizza, and then go to bed all within the same hour.
Try them and see what you think. I prefer Adderall or Dexedrine myself.
 
I dont like it at all, makes me feel very edgy, like i want to shrug my way out of my skin.
The crash is pretty shitty to.
I'd rather drink coffee.

i dont really like uppers and such so maybe im just biased-
but i didnt really like the high it got from ritalin, too edgy, too shaky...
 
I find with Ritalin the somatic effects equal the euphoric effects. By the time you get to a euphoric place, your heart is racing and your are shaking like a monkey on crack.. my advice is if you can find ritalin it shouldnt be to hard to find adderal which is far superior to ritalin and even dexedrine in my case.
 
i have never gotten even a hint of euphoria from it. only got more talkative, then later i had a big sense of impending doom. later in the nite i found myself feeling like i was being torn in four pieces, much like one would tear out pages of a book...not a fun ride
 
All my times with ritalin have been definetely less than fun. I get extremely hyper, but in the aforementioned edgy way, my short term memory fades, its just not really my cup of tea.
I wouldn't compare it to coke,AbraMontague, I feel the highs are very different, at least for me. With coke Im not really energized so much as, very sure of myself. Like I can do anything I set my mind to.
However, if combined with something like say, prozac, it Can produce rather interesting effects, though I won't repeat that combo.
 
Yes, I do enjoy Ritalin, helps you stay up on those nights when you cram for a big exam, but feel you just can't go on anymore. Now to address the comparision issue. Okay, first off, in my own personal experience I would have to say at smaller doses (10 mg) I enjoy ritalin way better than adderall. 10 mg of addrall will have almost no effect on me, whereas 10 mg of ritalin will keep me up for about 2 more hours if I'm dead tired. Around 20 mg, they're about the same to me, and anything above that I'd prefer adderall. However, I cannot even really compare coke to the rest of these. Even having these to in the same ballpark leads me to believe the coke you are talking about must be cut to hell. Pharmies merely speed me up, no real euphoria to speak of whatsoever. But coke, damn! You get the nice numb feeling that starts in your face and spreads over you're whole body. You feel higher than God, and can talk to anyone about anything. All for about an hour anyway, then time to do another line! But none of these drugs even compare to crystal. Shit is the bomb!

I used to absolutly LOVE ritlin. That was years ago and I couldn't really go wrong at $1 a pill. I've probly snorted well over 500 ritlin pills in my high school days. One day at school I was crashing and couldn't get anymore pills. I was soo pissed and crabby, these bitches were pissing me off too. Well long story short I went into my class room and just went off bad at my teacher and most of the students. I can never go back to that school again and I was almost charged with "terroristic threats". I was so fucking stupid and I'll probly never do ritlin again.
 
Ritalin can be very useful if you gotta stay up and study or something like that, but I think it's got very little recreational value. I tried to use it for that purpose a few times. I found that taking enough for it to cause any 'euphoric' feelings just gave me a hell of a crash afterwards. I only felt good right after it kicked in. It wouldn't be long till the overall effects became very unpleasant. The high wasn't worth the crash. I've also been told by a lot of people that took ritalin for fun that after doing it few times they no longer enjoyed it.
Adderall is a different story. It doesn't screw up my nostrils anywhere near as much as ritalin, the body buzz is a lot more pleasant and the comedown doesn't suck if I don't do too much at once.
If you use ritalin for studying and it works, more power to you. If you want to take it for fun, get adderall or something else.
