Has anyone tried rhodiola rosea with psychedelics? Like shrooms, which is metabolized by MAO-a. I just realized I could try this, could make it stronger experience than utilizing dark chocolate. Rhodiola rosea is reversible mao-a-i and mao-b-i.

I choosed prefix "tryptamines" but I realized that as mao-b-i it could possibly decrease metabolization of phenethylamines too, eh? I am not sure how PEA-analogs are processed in the body.

No, it's too weak for that. It has an IC50 value of 4.8; harmine, by contrast, has an IC50 value of .020 (for MAO-A) (lower values = stronger inhibition,* i.e., I think it works like "smaller molecules can slip through more cracks"). .020 is 240 times smaller than 4.8.

For the record, selegiline does work to enable beta-phenethylamine is have an effect like alpha-methyl-phenethylamine (amphetamine): Too much Phenylethylamine (PEA)?

*“Lower values of IC50 and higher values of pIC50 represent more potent inhibitors.”
