Restoril (Temazapam)

Hey everybody. Well I'm getting some 30mg Restoril's tomorrow. Can anybody with experience with it tell me how they compare to xanax/valium? I have in the past had a very high tolerance for benzos. Does temazpam literally zonk a person out or in the right dose can it have a good buzz, like similar to a good xanax buzz? What is a good dose to start with? Sorry for all the question. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
 
Its more like xanax than it is like valium. But it is definetly in the league of its own. It gives me this floaty feeling no other benzos do and is one of the few benzos I find to be fun. It has strong hypnotic properties but knocks me out less then xanax/klonopin. Everyone is different so try it out. Start with 30mg but am sure you can handle a shit load since you said you had a very high tolorance.
 
its a shitload weaker than xanax imo
if u got somewhat of a benzo tolerance ul prob need high-ish dose of temazepam
to get good effects , takes me 60-70mg , but its stil my fav benzo at that dose tbh
 
Thanks guys..Is temazepam water soluble? Also, leigh, you would compare 70mg to about 5mg xanax? What exactly does "hypnotic" mean in reference to benzos? I really appreciate the responses, thank You!
 
At first I thought temazepam was shit, but now I love it. The highest dose I got to was 120mg but that was during my first go around with the drug, and most of the time I got little from it recreationally and just passed out. Now (somewhere around a year later) I take 60mg and that puts me right where I wanna be, and I've got a tolerance to 5mg klonopin, never taken valium and have only taken xanax a few times. 60mg temazepam reminds me of the first time I took .5mg of xanax (my first benzo experience ever). Makes me feel very care free and floaty I guess is a good way to describe it as one of the above posters said. it doesn't knock me out at all anymore and I like it way better than klonopin. Of the few benzos I've tried temaz is my fav
 
i've taken as much as 300 mg before and never gotten the euphoria it is reputed for. just another benzo to me.
 
^ i once had 300mg too , was on stilnox and ate my whole bottle , tho didnt notice any increase of effects
after 60-70mg

id compare it to 2.5 mg xanax

Wow, I really thought it was alot stronger than xanax. Good to know, I appreciate everyone's replies! Do the hypnotic properties of restoril increase any of the drugs effect? Is the onset short or do they take a while to feel? I am probably going to take 60mg to start around noon tomorrow on my lunch break, and since I have a quite large tolerance to benzo's (I can consume 12mg+ of xanax and just feel relaxed) should I most likely be good to finish the rest of the work day without looking stoned? I have never experienced any benzo with "hypnotic" qualities..Thanks again.
 
It feels liker xanax to me on high doses, but more euphoria actually, more prone to amnesia and even more lowered inhibitions haha
 
If you can handle 12mgs of xanax then I think you will be ok with the temaz but I can't tell you for sure, because you said it's your first time with a hypnotic. 2mgs of xanax knocked me out harder than any dose of temazepam ever did though. Basically I can't tell you exactly what's going to happen but my guess is you'll be fine.

Same goes with me too xanax makes me pass the fuck out while temaz I can stay up and chose when to go to sleep.
 
Capt.- sorry if I posted in the wrong forum! Well I took 90mg of the temz about a half hour ago and it really is in it's own class of benzo's. I feel a slight body buzz, slight, but nice euphoric feeling and just like chill in my own little corner of the office. I am pleasantly surprised. I thought my high tolerance for benzos would make these temz have no effect on me. Like a month ago my doc had me on 10mg valium, and I could take 30 10mg and feel nothing. I assumed I had changed the chemistry in my brain beyond repair. But this feels like the first time I had a valium script and took 40mg. Very nice thus far. I just thought I would fill You guys in on how the experiment is going. Now I can chill at work and just throw some jive ass business terms at my co-workers for the rest of the afternoon...Till I get some of that soft later this evening, that should be very fun! Thanks again for are your replies!

Yeah man don't think its your tolorance that makes you able to take that much valium. I know you have a huge tolorance but people don't always feel the affect of certain drugs. When I had no tolorance i kept taking lorazapem in dosages of .5mg to 7mg and did not feel it at all and this shit makes some people hallucinate.

wld another 40mg at say 8 30 stil work ?

Temazepam was the very first benzo prescribed to me for insomnia. Not only did it knock me out when I needed it to, but I found it to be very euphoric.

Be careful about mixing it with alcohol. On several occasions, I woke up on the floor not remembering falling right down in mid step.

Another doctor later prescribed me Lorazepam and I found that to be euphoric as well... so much so that after a few years I asked to be switched to something else.

I now get Xanax and I don't find it euphoric at all. It simply relieves my anxiety when I need it or it puts me to sleep if I take 6+ mg.
 
Sorry for bringing up an old topic feel free to move this if it belongs some were else. I have been on and off temazepam off and on for quite sometime now. I was reading one thread that snorting it was the way togo, but after snorting about 7, 30 mg capsuls ''''''''''''''''i have felt nothing not even tiredness. So i decided to take a capsule under my tounge and I am still not even tired. Is this due to a tolorance issue or with in an hour will i be snowed. I just want too get the bang for my buck so to speak. Anythoughts? am i risking myself for an OD? or is this just not the right meds for me. Any thoughts would be great. If i take a .5 mg xanax im usually sleepy in like 20 minutes. Anything you can add would be helpfull.
