resolved: most addictive drug

Oxymetazoline is just like phenylephrine. In anycase, this person has obviously never been addicted to methadone, because it is nearly impossible to get off this shit.......

I agree, methadone is a fucking monster like no other

i was addicted to afrin for 5 months. I even made a post about it in health q and a. Its a shite addiction. I had to leave my buddies house at 4 in the morning to go 'score'. This whole thread is tounge-in-cheek, I realize.

not.

it just does a damn fine job of making it possible to breathe through your nose, apparently.

The first time I ever heard the word 'Afrin' being used, it was in reference to how addictive it was.

for me: in terms of quickly having got me hooked, heroin
in terms of causing psychological dependence, marijuana
and in terms of causing mental anguish and constant craving, methamphetamine

Ah Afrin! I had to go cold turkey after two weeks of use, as there's really little "weening off" to be done. Tried substituting it with Flonase. Nope, nothing. A few days of clogged nose and I was back to normal. Now if only I could kick these cigarettes like that.

Interesting. I have been heavily addicted ( I guess dependant would be the right word here since I will technically always be an addict) to what most consider to be the "Big Two". IV Heroin and Crack Cocaine. I find that the withdrawal from Crack is much worse then the withdrawal from Heroin but is much shorter lived. The Withdrawal from Heroin is not as intense but lasts waaaay too long. Looking back on it I had a harder time while I was kicking from H then I did from Crack, even though the Crack kick was more intense. If that makes any sense to anyone but me.

But as far as medical research goes I would have to say Alcohol is by far the most addictive drug. It is readily available almost anywheres in the world and legal to boot. Most people consider that makes it "OK" since it is not illegal like H and crack. Throw in the fact that you can actually die from Alcohol withdrawal and we have a clear winner here. I was never really into drinking but I still consider it the most addictive dug.

Does this afrin inhaler contain an isomer of methamphetamine, much like vicks nasal inhaler?

Just a thought, but maybe that's the cause of this addiction.
