Relocating to Pittsburgh

By the time you read this message I will be on the way to my new apartment in Bloomfield: my wife and I have relocated to the Iron City from New York.

Any leads on interesting social activities in Pittsburgh (particularly Bloomfield, Lawrenceville & surrounding environs) will be greatly appreciated. So far we have been very favorably impressed with the city. The rents are reasonable, the coffee is fabulous, and the people are just darned nice. (Especially when contrasted with denizens of the Big Apple...).

i just looked where bloomfield is and it appears to be near harrisburg, not pittsburgh?

Do you ever go to Your Inner Vagabond? I'm going to be there for the Scott Helland show on April 1: he's a great musician and a great guy and I'm looking forward to seeing him again.
