I'm trying to find a list of rehabs that use medical marijuana for treatment. Do these look places exist? I've been told about them. I'm currently in residential treatment in Texas at a place called New Hope Ranch. I'm a methamphetamine addict with some somewhat serious medical problems. I think I need a medical card for marijuana and it's hard to get in Texas. I'm trying to leave Texas, possibly. I am wondering if anyone could please help me. Thank you in advance.

Brother I don't think so man at least not like major inpatient rehabs. I think there is alot of medical protocol they have to follow. I know of like ketamine clinics that give you an injection of ketamine monthly and there's those psychadelic retreats that people swear by.

I tried to google rehabs that allow weed and they were giving me results for rehab for weed.

I don't think there are any, but when I was in inpatient rehab I had this idea of a rehab that was actually also a dispensary in a place where medical cannabis is legal. And, the patients would work trimming and watering and harvesting the plants so they could learn a new trade. Then just house and employ them nearby when they are done with your program. Then, they will be successfully rehabilitated and may even already qualify for medical while in there if you are a medical doctor for example. Its definitely something that has crossed my mind, but I don't think they exist mate. It was all just a dream of mine; maybe in another life it will happen for both of us. Would be great to work with patients in this manner.

it's actually really easy to get a card. i got one online for$99

The idea of using cannabis to manage stimulant cravings ain't exactly new and this would expose to a risk of combining the two substances together, so i figure this could represent some major concern for those in charge of a "rehabilitation" center.

Why does this dedicated thread collect all the vilification trash at peak periods such as Halloween and Christmass anyway?!

I was at a place last year in western NC, and the owner of that program was speaking with some patients there and mentioned another program he had an interest in in Florida, and that they were letting some patients use medical marijuana just like some rehabs let patients use buprenorphine. Unfortunately I don't know the name of this program and I can't verify the claim (though several people I was at the program in NC with were present for the conversation with the owner) but maybe this is enough info to get started on your search. Florida, and the proprietor's surname was Martinez, but no guarantee that's listed in the Florida documents, or that you'd even be able to search based on ownership. But these things do tend to be structured as nonprofit organizations, and as such all that information tends to be public record. It's a stretch lol, but somewhere for you to begin, hopefully. Admittedly, super lax stance America has taken on weed lately, you can buy it freely nationwide without any license as long as you ask for "thc-a flower" but a program like that's still gonna be hard to come by. Maybe not one day though lol. Good luck, bro. Recovering meth addict here myself and that shit is utter hell, I haven't imbibed in close to six months and I'm still dealing with repercussions and damage from this last run. ❤️

Well, in Florida this is likely (forgot to mention this in my response so thank you.) I know in Florida they were offering patients thousands of US dollars to come to rehab and that many would even show up in luxury vehicles with crack smoke pouring out the doors when they got out to rehabs from what I am told. This was told to me by a guy who has been in and out of treatments all over USA for years. He told me that this was before the FBI came in and raided many of them for participating in human trafficking schemes. Something about insurance money being paid to the treatment centers in excess of both their expenses and the cost to pay the clients. Idk how this works exactly, but he explained it well and now the treatment programs are more watched by the US government I hear.

Anyway, Florida is definitely like the wild west with both cannabis and treatment programs from all I have heard over the years about it including this example lol

All of the rehabs I found when searching also were "rehabs for weed" - LOL internet search, that's not my problem.
I searched in California, because that was where I was told they were at. When I was at rehab a year and a half ago, a guy transferred to a facility in Florida that used marijuana. That was the entire reason he was going. I thought seriously about it, but I was placed on a pharmacy lock for a year. So I couldn't leave College Station in Texas. I wish I had written down the name of that place. I wouldn't mind making a couple thousand dollars to go to a rehab. But I really do believe that if I had medical marijuana that it would work wonders for my pain, anxiety, insomnia, depression and chronic migraines. Therefore I could cut down on the dosages of some of the medications that I'm on.

Thank you for your responses everybody. I really appreciate it. I'm actually in rehab right now. A really good place, too. But this is Texas. Luckily I'm pretty much in Austin now, so this would be the place to get a medical card in Texas.

I don't know what just happened with my 3 quotes and my response - maybe I don't know how to use this thing right. Sorry we only get to use our phones for so long everyday in residential treatment. I don't know how to fix it! I sincerely apologize.

All good mate. Obviously was not your intention.

vilification? I've got a great vocabulary, but i don't know that one? I was just looking everywhere trying to find people to talk to 😥

Ain't there anything other to do than associate cannabis to sickness in this world? THAT is one of the many ways to VILIFY a precious gift of dame Nature which cannot kill, like the rest... Oddly enough!

Join the $e¢t of $¢ientology, they're looking for friends too. I'm sure you'll feel right at home with them.

... that's a very peculiar point of view you have there... I take it you have never used cannabis medicinally yourself? Most people who do see it as medicine associate it with healing, not sickness...

Idk the names, but there are a couple residential programs in maine and nor cal that are on literal weed farms.

Cannabis, specifically heavy indica concentrates and RSO/full spectrum edibles are one of, if not THE primary reason (along with a consistent suboxone taper schedule from day 1. Started at 16mg, now down to 2mg) that I have been able to abstain from using opiates and ketamine for the past almost 4 years. I was shooting ket and h for a decade

It's one thing to label its use as « medical » or « medicinal » and quite another to refuse such labeling, perhaps YOU are confused...

What i know is that there's no such thing as medicinal firearms, nor medical alcohol, both with severe co-morbidity associated.
