I have been in multiple rehabs before, I am looking for one that will allow me to smoke my medical marijuana. I believe this would be the best method to take to slow down. Has anyone heard of any? or a place to start looking? I have done tons of googling but no dice, I always get rehabs for weed...
Thanks

What exactly are you using?
I have never heard of people being able to smoke weed in a treatment centre. But, if you are invested in this happening I'd start picking up the phone and calling every treatment centre around you and asking. or call one of those addiction helplines that refer you to treatments and ask if they know of one.

Probably not going to find one in the US. Most treatment facilities are community based and the introduction of marijuana would compromise members of the community seeking recovery.

We had a client that was PISSED that we confiscated and flushed her weed. Can't really understand why someone would bring drugs into treatment.

Keep in mind, what you think is best for you probably isn't. I've found that the best way to get and stay clean is to follow the direction of those who know how to get and stay clean. Right now, most likely, there is probably a lot of fear of letting go of ALL drugs. Don't worry, that fear goes away

If you want to continue smoking weed, you may need to take the "do it yourself approach". For many addicts, this approach really doesn't work. After all, we've been doing things our own way for so long and look where it's gotten us

If you are going to do rehab. or are going to work the steps I feel it is paramountly important to take a break from smoking herb. It is important for the physical and psychological healing that a person is free of all but the most benign mood altering drugs (cafine and tobacco).

IMO a person has a much better chance of getting through Paws symptoms quickly if they stop manipulation their brain chemistry as this phenomenon is attributed to the process of these brain chemicals trying to stabilize. So I would recommend that a person wishing to live a successful "green recovery" abstain for a year or so while they heal from their addictions and address the root of the addiction. If someone chooses during this time to occasionally smoke for a music event or some other beneficial occasion I don't think it is that big of a deal.

If someone continues to experience negative paws and is unable to or unwilling to give up marijuana for this period then I would seriously look at if it is going to be beneficial for that person to seek a green recovery. That being said though I think the constant use of any decently powerful substance will be a negative in both people recovery and lives and may indeed lead a person back to active use. But i also feel that the responsible use of grass with sufficient time off in between doses to allow for neuroregulation back to baseline will have little or no chance of leading a person back to active addiction unless it is a trigger for that person or its acquisition or use brings a person in close proximity to their DOC's.

Being a long time Medical marijuana grower and caretaker I am well aware that you are using this a medicine and are receiving heath benefits from this.. but a good way to look at it is if you had cancer and and all also developed a serious infection that would prevent you from taking your best cancer drug and instead made you take a different drug for the time being to allow the healing of the infection, which would then allow you to go back to taking your best cancer drug it would not be that hard a descion. Now I obviously dont know what you take the MMJ for but say hypothetically if it was pain wouldn't it make sense to temporarily switch to a NSAI for a little while to facilitate the needed healing from the addiction and then return to the use of the MMJ when you are healed from the wounds that were caused and were the cause of the addiction.

I hope you find the peace you seek from you addiction<3
