Correct me if I'm wrong, Mods, but this is a legal question, and the Legal forum is closed. You can still search the archives.

I thought your question was about someone who was trying to quit and wanted to know what to expect from rehab from those of us who have been.

hydro, are you legitimately looking to quit, seeking a way to minimize consequences of your actions or both?

In rehab you can expect a pretty structured day with group therapy lots of study of the AA book the big book they call it. You can expect lots of time sitting around smokinf cigs and telling war storys. The food varys greatly between programs the more expensive the better same goes for accomidations. I went to a insurance covered 18 day one and I shared a room with one other dude shared a bathroom with shower with 4 people. We were put up in these cabin type things basically they seperated people based on sex and age. It wont be terrible but if you are like me and dont subscribe to the 12 steps then it will be alot of propaganda to swallow everyday. There was lots of sex going on at the place I went which was cool I actually dated one of those girls once we got out. They will push you hard to go to a half way house upon completion of inpatient. I mean it honestly wasnt bad in retrospect it certainly was better then jail.

Good on you for not rolling that 10 years figure sounds like bullshit scare tactic get the best lawyer you can afford.

well i had quit but slipped up and just happened to get caught

and i am asking about the rehab ,but just had to get a few things off my chest

the reason I ask is because I used to get salty when I was attempting to get into treatment as well as being in treatment. I needed and wanted to get better but there was always a shortage of beds. When I finally got into a facility, there were many that were simply there for 3 square meals and a bed. A temporary vacation for whatever reason other than to get clean. These folks were in the way of me saving my life

Now I recognize that rehab even helps those disinterested in staying clean so my resentments have dissipated.

I was in treatment twice. Once in 1993 and once in 2009. The first facility was awesome. The second... well, I kept a daily journal while I was there. Feel free to read about it in my Blog found HERE (you may want to sort those entries from Day 1 to Day 15. It covers the process and emotions from intake to discharge)

naw i got a place to stay etc ,im really looking for a reason to stay sober at this point ,most of the time i dont even judge my dosage anymore not caring ...then i wake up and it like "welp survived that one " i dunno how fucked it sound but death is almost inticing(sp)

so the search for meaning etc ...hell i dunno just to find my place in this world
