REHAB: Cove Forge, PA Question?

Hey guys, hopefully by tomorrow morning I'll be able to get state medical insurance so that I can get a bus out to Cove Forge/White Deer Run Rehab for my heroin addiction. I can't find much info on it, but I really wanted to know their policy on suboxone/methadone maintenance and/or detox. I'm hoping it's a pretty compassionate place...unlike the last treatment center I tried..:\

I was wondering if anyone here has either been there, or knows someone who has, or even knows where I might find out some good info (seems to be lacking). I know I need to get on either suboxone or methadone semi-long term for my addiction or I don't have a fighting chance. Yes...I know the NA/AA cult members will chastise me for taking ANY drug, but suboxone has significantly improved my life before, and I know I can use it again. I'm not trying to catch a buzz or anything like that, but do you guys know if ANY treatment center offers these services?

Thanks again guys for the quick response, I really appreciate it.

I live in PA as well but I have never heard of this place? where at in Pa is it located? I am originally from the Philly area but now I live in northeast Pa(right passed the poconos)

There are a bunch of places up here for Heroin rehab etc but since I am not educated enough on the matter I don't want to send you wrong info......

My addiction is alcohol so its different treatment altogether.......

Dont worry about getting chastised by NA/AA I am in the program and you have to remember the program is for each individuals recovery. "The only requirement is a desire to stop" Shouldnt matter how you get there!

I'm an NA member and I firmly believe that suboxone is a necessity for some (don't lump us all into the 'cult' category %) )

Also, its my understanding that there are only a few rehab facilities that facilitate methadone/suboxone maintenance in PA. I know for a fact that Eagleville is one of them. However, Eagleville is a SHIT rehab IMO.

PM me if you have any questions on Eagleville or you can check out my Blog about it at: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/blog.php?u=106401&blogcategoryid=69&blogtype=recent

I went to White Deer Run. Which facility are you thinking about going to? They give you Subutex in detox for the few days you might be there, but other than that the place I was at dosen't give narcotic drugs out, methadone and suboxone included. You can get some other stuff to help with sleeping, nausea, headaches, anxiety, etc. But it's nothing good or narcotic. You are supposed to be there to get sober anyway. If you get clean, don't go on the maintenance. It's a step backward honestly.

Let me know where you are going. I can answer some questions.
