Registering trickle?

So sometimes when i register i get the full rush of blood into the syringe(the dark venous type). But other times i just get a small drop trickling in and sitting at the bottom corner of the syringe, i inject and it gives me the full rush anyway. But my question is apparently this is some sort of condition with blood pressure or scarred veins?

My partner has the same problem. We think it's a combo of dehydration and low blood pressure. Try drinking 32-64 oz of water. Kool-aid or something ( not soda ) and see if that helps.

^ could be that. could be that vein has sluggish flow, especially if it is a smaller one. could be how well your needle is in vein. could be one of those random things.

if it rushes in with force or is bright red/frothy or extra sore, beware it could be arterial, but you should know this beforehand if you can identify veins and arteries. as long as you register into a vein, and shot goes in smoothly with no pain or swelling, chances are you are in the vein. reregister half way through if you are unsure. beware partial shots/misses where the needle is half in and half out.

what happens if u hit an artery? this is kinda a worry.
Does it hurt a little if its gone into an artery & is there much risk if u inject in the usual spot people do so. Between arm & fore-arm?
if it is possible Id be guessing ud have to go in deeper than most people would try.
Where would the dangerous spots to inject be?
not that i think id ever do it in a different spot.

Artery shots are serious bad news. I've hit arteries 10's of times, I went through a phase of hitting nothing but. It feels like fire when you push into one too.... That trickle thing happens to me a lot. I usually find it when I've use the same site for a while and the vein is collapsing. What I've also found though, is that if there is bruising around a site, blood will trickle into the barrel, but it's just that I am bleeding under the skin. That's apparent as soon as I inject as the pain is unmistakable. As effie said if there is no pain/swelling chances are you're in a vein, just be careful to inject slowly if this is the case.

well im a little releived to here uve hit arteries so many times & are still OK. Have u hit an artery just injecting not very deep in the usual spot?
or has it only been when injecting deeply cuz u'r looking for new veins or something?
Do u also know if it's bad to jack back with the plunger to see if ya still in the vein as ya pushing it down to many times?
I mean u could jack back only once but it risks falling out of the vein.
or u could do it 1/2 and 2/3 down, risk damaging ya veins, if jacking back does hurt ya veins but there is less chance that u inject as much outside ya vein if the needle falls out.
Say u have a full 100 units shot. How many times during the process of pushing the plunger down do most people jack back to see they're still in the vein?

If its not hurting keep pushing. If it starts to hurt stop and wait like 10 sec or so then jack back and re adjust up and down . I would suggest not moving the needle side to side( or fishing)

i only re-register when it slips out of the vein , usually ill 'fish' around slightly , gently and in a way frantically because i dont want to get the rush from half my shot then shoot the rest lol , i IV ice , so if i take more than a few seconds to get the rest of the shot in there ill start rushing from whats already in there haha . Aww that just reminded me of my last shot 2 months ago , i had 60 units of water , 3 points , started tasting it after 20ml went in , slammed the rest and booooom ! sometimes when it slips out and theres not much of the shot left , i just finish it anyway , ends up in the bloodstream eventually haha .

It really isn't necessary to re-register more than twice, even with a large shot.. as others have said, you feel pain when you slip out of the vein. If you're pushing down on the plunger and feel no burning sensation or anything.. than you are still in and it's pointless to register again. If you do start to feel a burning and there is resistance while pushing down, then you need to register again.

Peacepipe made a good point too.. if you wait to long to finish an injection, you wont get the whole rush at the same time, which can be really annoying. This is especially true for IV stimulants like coke or meth, where the rush comes on soooo quick and is what we desire most. If I slip out halfway, I'm furiously trying to register again before only half of the rush hits me. Hah. This is still true for H too but you have a little more time as it doesn't hit you as fast.

Nah it's been when I'm just doing the usual.. I actually came here looking for advice whilst going through this terrible phase, as I was baffled as to how I could seriously be hitting them almost always. I convinced myself then, that I was having severe histamine reactions instead. However when I pulled my needle out (without injecting obviously) the blood pulsed out as it would from an artery. I'd never ever inject into an artery as I'm very aware of the risks. Not to mention the pain makes it impossible anyway. As for jacking back, as I have naffed all the veins in my non dominant arm, I tend to shake something awful these days as the only veins I can get are in awkward places and I've not got the steadiest right hand. I do think it's important to inject slowly though, I know I could have preserved a lot of my veins by taking more care.

I usually get the trickle right before the veins about to blow on me. I use it as a sign to find a new vein and let the trickler heal before I blow it completely

ive only just really started IVing & im still getting swim to do it for me. should i tell him to stop fucking jacking back every few secs to see if it's still in the vein?
hmm maybe it isnt really harmful & I should just let him do whatever he wants. I mean people get blood tests & take out heaps of blood ya know?

My thing is if you are going to shoot dope. You should learn how to hit your self. Especially if you like H. For one you don't have to always have a doc with you and to you won't have someone else's dirty hands handling your rigs. But to each there own.

Somethingelse, please don't use SWIM here - protects no one and is against the BLUA you signed up to.

Having someone else do you when you start is okay as long as they have a good prep/shooting technique - even some old-timers don't, and there is always a risk of contamination and potentially even transmitting blood-bourne viruses if they carelessly catch themselves with the needle or something. Being taught by someone who knows what they are doing, after researching on BL (especially the IV megathread) is the best plan (other than not doing it in the first place ofc - not judging/condemning anyone, this is Bluelight and I have been there, but be aware how devastating and damaging it can be).

The woes we face... I used to have monster veins bulging out everywhere, old rigs and tar brought an end to that though. Which is why I recommend everyone to take a half day sick and pick up some freshies, when I used a new one each day I was hitting in the same 1.5 inch spot forever, started using dull ones and it disappeared.
Which brings me to my point... I've noticed more swelling/bruising/reaction when I get a trickler compared to a gusher, which probably means I'm losing some of it. I recently started having a friend hit me because my veins are so bad now and he has the magic touch, I still bruise like crazy though because they are tiny veins in my inner arm/forearm. He refuses to push if he gets a trickler, annoyed the hell out of me the first time but he's right, you get a better shot when you hit a gusher.
It really all depends why it trickles, but if you get one I would recommend trying again, and if its a spot you hit a lot, it means its starting to collapse and let it heal. You will notice a difference.

Take care of your veins, it sucks when you lose all the good ones. Use new rigs and rub/massage the area periodically, especially if you use it a lot. I sometimes wonder how my hands circulate, veins used to pop out like a quarter of an inch, now they look recessed :(
