Is there anybody out there ? Coz I have become comfortably numb !!!

Oh, how i know that feeling only too bloody well, its the same here!!! I'd have to pay anywhere between €25 & €40 for privilege to smoke so called 'heroin', that is really only a few crushed up poxey benzos that i could just have bought for €1 in their tablet form, & if i'm REALLY lucky there might even be a tiny bit of H in it!!! I'm not even going to try to score gear anymore till i know for sure that the drought is well & truly over (how many times have i said that before???) i only scored this week coz it was Paddies Day & i had a day off work. Its been so SO long since i have had proper 'Proper Gear' that when i do eventually get it it will surely knock my socks off??!!!!!
I'm on 60mls of meth a day, coz i've been almost totally clean for 4 months now the doctor has me on take aways!! Yip~eeee.....!!! So anyway, if i ever do come across real heroin again & if i don't take my meth that day & if i have a nice big smoke will it be like the first time again? Will it make me throw up? Coz when i first started smoking gear i was a real pucker (sorry i know that is disgusting!!) It wasn't just the first once or twice that i used that made me sick, i was always throwing up when i first started using!! But will it be like that again? & will i get that same buzz off the gear that i used to get when i first started using? Coz that is ALL that i have been thinking of over the last four months!! I keep thinking the longer this goes on the more stoned i'm going to get when it does come back!! But does it work like that? I bet coz i've been taking the poxey meth its not going to hit me as strong as i would like it to!! GURRrrrr.......!!!!!
But for now all i can do is dream about what its going to be like when (if) it comes back!! I did give up gear once years ago, i'd only been using daily for about 6 months, i was still new enough to the whole thing, & it frightened me when i first realized that i was hooked, so a bought a load of meth & gave up the gear. I started on 50mls of meth & dropped it daily over the space of about 3 or 4 weeks & then i was clean!!
I stayed clean for about 3 months & so did my boyfriend. Then one summers night on the way home form work we were chatting & congratulating our selves on how well we were doing without the gear, so we stupidly decided to reward our selves with one bag of gear between us, oh what a BAD idea!! & what i pity we hadn't deleted our dealers numbers.....Anyway, i do remember that we really enjoyed the smoke, in fact we enjoyed it so much that we got more the next night & then the next night & so on....... But i can't remember if that smoke on the first night that we started back was as good as the first time ever, it was years ago, but i do remember that i did throw up after i had a smoke!! I often wonder what would have happened if we hadn't scored that night? But i honestly feel the fact that i'd always held on to my dealers number meant that in the back of my mind i had always planed to go back using at some stage!! Ah well!!
I'm dieing to have a decent smoke to see will it have been worth the wait, & i know that it will be worth it after all the disappointment of the low grade crap that i have been getting over the last four months!!
But at the moment, just as you said Brimz, 'there is nothing worth buying around my way!!'

I think you are expecting too much ructions. yes the gear isnt what it was, but u do have an opiate tolerance. 60mgs methadone is a fairly large dose to take every day (Im on the same) and it can block the effects of h because it builds up in your bloodstream and the half-life of methadone is stupidly long. 36 hours!
So even if you dont take your mdone and you have a smoke of gear instead, you still have that opiate tolerance there and you have to smoke some to feel well, and then some more to get stoned.
I think if you tried to equate methadone dose to street heroin dose 60mg might equal roughly 1-1.5 bags of average pre drought gear (bearing in mind that you are smoking only enough to feel well, once in the morning and once in the evening - because heroin has a much shorter half-life than methadone).
Back in the day when i was on 40mls i could have a smoke of proper gear on top of my phy and it would hit me like normal, so im not really sure about the blocking effect.

i agree wid u mate. for most dealers dealers, its about how much money they can make. but u do get decent ones out there. I'm not saying u mate, but I know a few ppl who say they rather pay for quality then when it comes to it they moan about the size. as I'm know theres loadsa dealers out there selling normal sizes .4 for £20 or .2 for £10 and be happy wid that until they find out the quality. if u want decent gear, u gonna have to pay higher rates for it. as some one on here said before, drought would only be finish when there is a price war and u can get good gear @ normal weights @ normal prices.

I had no choice, when i didn't go to the chemist to get the daily dose my doctor would threaten to throw me off the course, so i had to use gear & meth together & i always got a good buzz off the gear. But now that the doctor has me on take away i could go a few days without taking meth if i had proper gear to hold me, i didn't take meth last Wednesday or Thursday coz i was off work & i was scoring, the gear i got on Wednesday was ok, but the stuff i got on Thursday was crap so in the end i had to take my meth on Thursday night. I got the gear off two different blokes, one in Blanchardstown & one near me in North Dublin & both lots of gear were full of tablets, i was just zonked out asleep.
But things are getting a bit better, the stuff i got on Wednesday was the best i'd had in a while. You got good gear last week didn't you Tryptamite? Did you get it in town? Do you have a steady supply? There are reports of things starting to get better in Dublin, so fingers & toes crossed!! I just want to get the same quality gear as i was getting before the drought. Hopefully i'll be able to get it soonish!!
Did you see the links that Pinkpapaver posted on the Heroin social thread? One link is a very interesting report on how the drought effected different places ect. & the second link is off a radio show were they are talking about the drought. The girl on the radio station works in a clinic, she was saying that people were getting angry with her when she showed them that their tests were coming back clean for heroin & dirty for benzos, these people were so sure that they had been scoring heroin & they were totally shocked at their drug test results, but she said that they calmed down in the end & excepted that they had been paying well over the odds for something that wasn't even heroin, it was just benzos, they were only dirty for benzos. Its a good link, its well worth a listen.
But look at least there is some heroin in the stuff that is doing the rounds now, things are slowly on the up!!

This is my first post coz I've just been reading all the posts for months checkin out da scene else where.
Basically for me I've been able to get decent B but smaller sizes for a good 2 months now everyday at least 2 of my favorite dealers are about.
This is from the London area and I notice the London boys ant postin much these days, so It obviously ant just me.
But I'm gettin so pissed off with the changing sizes, one day I'll get 0.4-0.5 for £20 and the next day It's 0.25 for £20 of the same bloke.
So to cut to the point, I've had enough of these FUCKIN MUGGEY LITTLE dealers givin me whatever amount they feel like for £20.
It all came to a head on Friday when I was supposed to be gettin big one's for doin a favor, but I got the smallest bags I've ever seen. The gear is good 6-7/10 but It's the "you get what we give you" attitude of these little 17 year old kids that I could snap in half.
So I have not done it since Friday and the anger in me caused by the way they treated me is going to help me stop. They ant gettin another penny out of me I can really feel it inside me this time that I'm gonna give it up.
But I had to give a shout out to all the BL'ers who helped me through the drought before I give it all up. :D

There's good gear round my way d last few weeks but its 50euro 4 a score bag. it seems quite strong and like u i used to throw up all d time at d begining. this gear made me throw up also but i got a really good stone from it...wacked out really. have smoked it a few times d last 2 weeks but simply can't afford to keep it up and my sleep was nearly coming back to normal but after a few smokes its fucking up my sleep again. gonna try my best to keep away from it 4 a while.

hay, ructions, i would just start reducing the green you take now, that you can, see b4 this dreaded drought i would only take 15 ml b4 work, and then hve a bag of an evening, then at the weekend i would just smoke gear, to give me body a rest from the green
im lucky that ive been on weekly pick up for ages, tho just b4 the drought they were threatening me with daily coz id been so bad

so if ye want that nice gouch/goof/stone when the droughts over, try and have less green in yer system, when the docs test you, they wont know how much youv had

Thing is mate both my main scores dont use so they dont have a clue what it is like strength wise, I'm sure if they had someone with them to test before they bought it they would be told it's total shit. Do these people not understand that they can make more money by selling decent grade thus more people coming to see them rather than the next man with crap stuff? The problem is half these youths these days have prob never had decent gear so the shit they buy they think it's standard strength and know no better so as long as these people keep coming back for the cheap weak stuff the dealers will carry on knocking it out. Thats the problem -if you have been in the game for a while and know what proper gear is the shit about these days does not compare, I guess it's a case of you dont miss what you dont know.

Oh and for the record I'd rather have 0.1 of proper gear than 0.5 of the crap that passes for gear these days. Problem being as said before these people that dont know better think it's all about the quantity rather than quality and as long as they carry on with this ethos all they will get is shit. I bet if they got gear that the dealer had not stepped on and got a smaller amount they would complain to the shotter about the size so the next time they score they will get the same amount of gear just with god knows what added to bulk it up so they think they are getting a good deal.

It's white knuckle time for happiness-threatened injectable scriptees here. After an 11 month battle, we learn the fate of precious scripts in just over an hour. My phone's been ringing off the hook all morning with anxious addicts speculating which way the wind blows. None of us really have a clue. These are strange times. A lot of opiophobia about. Respectable heroin addict should not be an oxymoron.
But, if morons decree it must so be, there's always emigration. It's wise to know where you're heading when you're going to start coming down within 36 hours of departure. So thanks to the travel guides. I note jspun's eastern adventures were in 2007. A lot can happen to a fragile country in four years, particularly if it's annoying the big boys with its drug tourism. I google and read of the compulsory detention camps for drug users and the local fuzz swooping on foreigners. But 95% heroin at $5 a gram? A lot of bash victims will take the chance.
Maybe Ireland, with its economic woes, could seize the opprtunity and become the new drug tourist destination. Think of the tax money if marijuana coffee shops littered Grafton Street and coke and smack markets were developed by the Liffey. Or maybe Limerick is more suitable. Hmmm,think I'll write to Willie O'Dea, that'll pass half an hour.

There pretty much is/was a smack and tablets market by the liffey. Problem is the smack youre gonna get there now will have little to no actual smack in it.
Would you seriously emigrate if things go badly for you charlie? Would finances allow it for you? Be sure to keep us posted on the outcome.
Id love to emigrate to a better country but i think the best i can manage before i have a university degree is a short holiday.

Hi Alfo, glad to hear that you have been getting good!! Yeah things have got better in Dublin but i still can't get the same quality/price/size as i got before the drought. I got good stuff last week but it was €40!!! So on Paddies day i got some that was only €25, but it was much weaker, both deals were still cut heavily with tablets though!!
I could handle getting the lower grade of gear is it wasn't twice the price!! That is the bit that really gets me. Its both me & my boyfriend that use, so we have to pay out €80 for two bags!!!! At that price i'd want to be getting rocket fuel!! (i hate that expression!!!!)
But yeah things are better then the were around December & January!! But i just wish things would get back to normal!! My mate thinks that i'm being too fussy, she is thrilled with a lot of the gear that we have sampled, but when i'm paying double the price i think i have every right to be fussy!! All i'm looking for is the same quality of gear as i used to get before the drought, but i suppose there is a drought on & that is just the way it is!!
I'm delighted that you got to have a good smoke Alfo you were going mad for a bit (just like myself!!) & yeah the prices are a joke, but the price will have to come down again soon, people simply don't have that kind of cash to spend on gear.....
I hope your sleep pattern gets back to normal, its awful when you can't sleep!! Are you on meth? I find if i take my meth too near bedtime it gives me nightmares!! If your with a clinic maybe you should tell them that you are having trouble sleeping & maybe they could help you? At the start of the drought my Doctor put me on sleepers for two weeks.
