2 months is indeed a harsh wait, things are picking up but they have been for a while in my area, it's just soooo slow and still variable in terms of quality and price.

Down here in sunny devon things have gone from bad to worse. After a couple of weeks of some really nice gear that you could attually taste and smell there's now some stuff going round that looks good and holds you but has strange taste to it. When you smoke it the stuff on the funnel looks dull almost powdery. Its coming down from L/P where I'm told their is now a shortage of bash so H is being cut with other stuff. A likely story me thinks. Is it possible that they are mixing codine or DF's with something to make it smokable? I think you could smoke a oz of this stuff and not get a nod but like I said before it does seem to stop you from being ill. Anyone had anything similar where they are? There is a lot of it about here.

Yes - around late November/early December '10. I bought two bags off my main at the time; looks perfect, runs perfect, little to no taste and very little strength. I smoked the two anyway as I was in denial that I just got ripped off someone I had been a very loyal customer of for about a year. I looked in the tooter afterwards to see if it might have collected what heroin was actually in the bash and it was covered with a white powder.

I always thought it was the running agent they throw into the bash; ie tylex. I know mattitol was often used as a running agent pre-drought, but that was actually necessary and didn't leave the powdery residue on the tooter.

I'm sorry to hear its gone down hill for you; my gut feeling is that it should pick back up in 2/3 weeks. If we can get it in Ireland I cant see any reason why you cant/wont be able to get it soon. Although its likely of no consolation, I can get it - but I'm flat broke until next monday...and it fucking sucks balls.

Randomly just walking down the road (on the way to the chemist actually to stock up on some DHC) I was walking behind a girl who sparked off my junkie-dar as a user, and she walked past two asian lads outside a shop who said something to her (didn't hear) and she turned around to them and said "Fuck off Im not buying anything else off you now, last two times its had nothing in it!" hmm wonder what that was about.....

I was tempted to ask them for a sample but thought better of it. And literally 50m away from my house! If only they had real gear....

however ivepointed a few in certain directions they report back predrought quality but 30 a half. well as an addict of 16 yrs and on 125m of deathadone i will tell folk when predrought stuff is in bristol

So I decided to score from a totally new source today. Basically, I had a major craving for some lovely white (and as we all know most white is fantastic at the minute to make up for the atrocious brown).
So because I used to live in Manchester and when I moved to Crawley I had pretty much totally stopped using white, I never really located a source for white. It took me 18 months to find a source in Crawley and they are useless, make you wait hours, don't bring the right amount of stuff when they do arrive and take 30mins to come back with the correct stuff and on top of all that, both the white and brown is pretty rubbish.
Strangely in Brighton most dealers sell either brown or white (not both). There are some that sell both but they seem to get nicked 10x faster than those who only sell one. I only know a few sources in Brighton for white and they are "part-time" dealers, sometimes (when they need extra cash) they sell and the rest of the time they don't. On top of the fact I now live near Portsmouth which makes it a 80minute journey to Brighton it wasn't worth it to go and score a few bits of white.
Anyway, thanks to a friend I got introduced to a crew who run their shop about 5/10miles from my house. So I went and scored some stuff from them. I bought 2 brown and 3 white. (both £10s not £20s) Came home and tested it.
The white was 9/10... I couldn't have really have asked for better. The only problem with it was when I tried to do a speedball, it blocked the pin and I had to use a cup full of boiling water to unclog it and then find a vein within 30seconds. Not a major issue.
The gear was about 4/10 (so not actually that bad).
Anyway, I decided to go back and get another 2 brown and 3 white. They told me because I bought 10 in one day, they will give me 2 free the next time I score off them, so I'll be going back tomorrow to get myself 5white and 3 brown for the lovely price of £60!

Overall, I'm really happy with the way things went, it's a shame the gear wasn't a little bit better. Because of the drought, if they'd given me 6/10 gear to go with my 9/10 whisky... I would have been over-fucking-joyed!!!

nice to hear alot of peeps getin sorted in dub,seems to b more gud repolrts dan bad deir now,which in great news,so when i got word my mate told me he mite b able to get sumtin(50 nmiles from dub)+assured me it was gud stuff,i taut chance he cud be rite,was 50 euro for .35 we went halves)wudnt b as bad den if it was crap.as was cooking it up,started to get that lovely smell of h+i knew was real deal,even managed to get myself 1st time(thank u god!!),and wen pushed it in i started to feel it comming on(i missed dat so much!)say gve it 7/10.its nice wen a score comes together wen u not expecting it,bin waiting since start of nov for dat,
hopefully in next few weeks,things will get bak to norm for everyone on ere,

Scored today in Dublin. 55 euro (he wanted 60)e for 3 bags. 2 decent size (considering the situation) but one was a bad 15 bag. I wont pay for underweight bags in future. Proper smell of gear from it. Lovrly smoke. Nice familiar taste and since my tolerance is down from just being on the juice I could feel almost every little line add to the nice warm blanket feeling

Seems like i found a fairly decent dealer. Said hell be doing weights in a bit when things improve.

Id say the best way (other than using it) to tell the "good" bash from proper off the rock gear is the smell. Im sure every user knows the characteristic smell of our brown heroin. Bags should smell like gear.

Unless of course its just after been spat into your hand from the mouth of a tobacco smoker. then it will smell like ashtray mouth.

thought I just give an update in my situ at the mo. still getting the same gear from my main guy, proper pre drought quality 8/9 outta 10 and this is on a pre drought ratings. his came back on since new years day and has had the same gear through out. his only doing bags @ £20 no weights or deals on any amounts u buy. the sizes at 1st were .4 's but have been gradually getting smaller to .35 and recently its been .3. but the gear is proper strong. have had ppl come down from luton, Brighton, Essex and other places. they been buying up to 30 bags at a time. and keep returning every couple of days. I pick quality over quantity any day if the week. this is east London BTW. as there Is ppl out there wid good but usually run out quick and can't get the same or theres a million dealers wid bash in London. but it does seem to be getting better by the day. for some odd reason my guy has not run out which leads me to believe its coming from his ppl in Asia as the guy Is Asian. and for the Haters who don't believe me. I don't give a fuck.

if it blocked the pin you probably ned to add more citric to the mix - dont forgat the white is base and needs acid to disolve like the gear - i use to find i needed nearly 50:50 with some white to get it in to a nice solutuon

dublin situ are improving massive as there are gear everywhere but my fear is how long will it be like this for?i mean look at uk when they got proper gear there for awhile then suddenly back to square 1!!! my advice to all irish is to stock up now before too late! nearly all of my pal got sorted last night and said it was 8/10 stuff so its all lookin up in dublin! how bout u all gettin any decent tackle recently??

Earlier maybe yes because bits and pieces were turning up here and there but the impression i get is that what is coming in now is new fresh gear. Theres been a harvest and supply lines have been re-established or whatever.
I for one dont think Dublin will go back to what it was like in the midst of the drought.

Of course I could be wrong.

I dont want to tempt fate but the one thing which could prolong the drought in areas is a big seizure in combination with good police work.

Maybe you will get very lucky and get a smaller than usual bag for larger than usual prices, but more likely you will get ripped or at least sold a very expensive bag of "rocket fuel" and itll turn out to be bash.

If youre not from Dublin then you wont know anyone and youll be walking around town asking people and stick out like a sore thumb.

If you have the money to spare then you could buy one and get a phone number. if its good you can call him and get more.

I wouldnt pay over 30euro for the average score bag size. Im sure people will try charge you more like 50e for that size but things arent that bad.

I know I said I scored twice this week in this thread, and once I bought off the street, but both times I was merely acting as buyer for somebody else who seemed happy to take the risk. Other than the fact that it wasnt my money I doubt I would have risked it at this stage.

tanx. i did get lucky before buying on d street as other users i'd never met before got it 4 me and i split it wit dem. wen i was looking by myself dey thought i was a cop and wouldn't sell to me!!!! i was just dressed neatly!!! i mite have a look around and c if der are many pinned eyes around!!! i don't have d money to get ripped and i'm a girl and i'll b by myself. i know doesn't sound like a good idea to try!
