I read about 2 years ago that it has been shown in rats that administering methylphenidate (or other reuptake blockers) up to 8 hours after the methamphetamine will greatly reduce the toxicity of methamphetamine. I wondered if anyone had tried this, and what their experience was. --Did the methylphenidate reduce the nasty after effects of methamphetamine or other amphetamines??

welcome to bluelight. promising op, but it would be nice if you could link your source. "i read something 2 years ago so lets discuss it" doesn't exactly seem credible. i will give you the benefit of the doubt.

homeless -> other drugs

Not sure entirely, but i think that MPH has the worst comedown of every stim way worse than amphetamines definetly lmao. i was withdrawing last part of yesterday and it is just as if not more uncomfortable than a full-blown xanax withdrawal. you feel sick, suicidal, guilty, out of energy. its the only stimulant that brought back the temperature sensitivity w/d effect that i had when tapering off xanax , and god ill tell you that is hell, feeling the burning hot or ice cold air pierce your nerves and put them into sensitive overdrive.

I couldn't read the paper because I don't have access to it but I did read the abstract. From what I understood of the activity of Ritalin...it's more adequate to be given after a methamphetamine overdose or near overdose. Not sure if it works for chronic low doses of methamphetamine. Also, don't expect a huge high when taking Ritalin to counter a huge methamphetamine comedown, from what I read it about its effects it sounds quite painful, its effects.

Abstain from useless comments, taking a given dose of Ritalin to counter methamphetamine comedown is not the same as Ritalin crash.

What would this therapeutic dose of methylphenidate be? And are you able to substitute with any NDRI? I have Ethylphenidate.
Also who realistically does 1 dose of meth (as shown in the study), i'd assume this wouldnt make any difference if binging. Worth a try though.
