Reducing ketamine tolerance and nasal probs?

I was wondering if anyone knew ways to either lower ketamine tolerance or if there was any supplements or things to make the ketamine experience better (other than reducing use).

Also, is there any way to use it except for IV/IM and powder to the nose? I dont want to go the IV/IM route and my nose isnt in too good shape. I was wondering if anyone knew ways that are easier on the nose, or other ways to take it that still requires around the same dosage (eating it would be too expensive).

^^ And really, that's about the only other route of administration left to you. Either IM it or stick to snorting...

Take some magnesium supplements, I have a post somewhere about it. It helps lower dose needed and increase effects, I found that it works well.

My opinion is, ketamine isn't ketamine unless it is IM'd... snorting it produces a more sedating and less psychedelic effect. If you don't like needles, K probably isn't for you.

I don't see what the big deal about using a needle for K is but I won't go into that.

If you could furnish the information about the magnesium we would all greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

There is no way to reduce tolerance, IMing would allow you to get further with the same doses but you don't want to do that you say...

For the nose, try a nosespray with ketamine solution. Though it might still get congested.

For nose problems I would suggest a nasal irrigator (I personally use neilmed sinus rinse and it works wonders). You simply use the nasal irrigator between sessions and it makes your nose feel great. If you're going to be having a lot of sessions in a single evening, you might want to just wait until the end because overusing the nasal irrigator can irritate your sinus.

as for reducing tolerance, hypothetically speaking:
A large part of ketamine tolerance has to do with the liver enzymes becoming trained to convert ketamine into norketamine more efficiently. The primary liver enzymes involved in ketamine metabolism are CYP3A4 and CYP2B6. In theory if one was to take a CYP3A4 inhibitor prior to ketamine consumption, there should be a noticeable effect on the nature of the high and a lowered dose requirement. This is not including other mechanisms for ketamine tolerance, however I strongly believe increased efficiency of the liver enzymes has a lot to do with why the psychedelia decreases as tolerance increases.

Why do you believe that, there are a lot more drugs that are metabolized by CYP3A4 for instance and the tolerance for that would have to rise too. No, receptor downregulation is a much safer bet for explaining this phenomenon.

I'm very interested to hear if enzyme inhibition is both a safe and clean method for potentiation of ketamine. Grapefruit juice works as well as cimetidin. I've checked this before but just now I read again that it works for a bigger bang for buck.

This is not really tolerance reduction but more circumvention, in fact potentiation will probably increase your tolerance quicker.

edit:

Oh I looked up some of the research:

When these results were extrapolated using the average relative content of these P450 isoforms in human liver, CYP3A4 was the major enzyme involved in ketamine N-demethylation. The present study demonstrates that CYP3A4 is the principal enzyme responsible for ketamine N-demethylation in human liver microsomes and that CYP2B6 and CYP2C9 have a minor contribution to ketamine N-demethylation at therapeutic concentrations of the drug.

So yea it should work, drinking 1 glass or so maybe 30-45 minutes before dosing K. Success has been reported but I also read of people falling ill from it. The juice may have been spoiled or something though because I think 2 people got the same reaction while others had no such effect.
