^ Yeah, but as has already been said, hormones will make it worse. Muscle will not grow to replace the breast tissue, it will simply grow under it and make the breast tissue push outward even more. The tissue that has been affected by puberty to cause the gyno rests on top of the muscle.
Sometimes gyno is caused by just adipose tissue and it will go away if you lose weight, but if you still have this problem after losing 150lbs then it's probably also partly to do with mammary gland hypertrophy (growth) during puberty.
The problem wasn't that you had too much estrogen, it was that you didn't have enough testosterone for whatever reason. Could be that your body metabolizes it faster than normal. Other evidence could be less facial and secondary body hair because testosterone governs that too.
I don't know much about the surgery for it so can't help you out there.
