ok so as some of you may or may not know, i have a very high tolerance for benzos (can handle 15+ mgs xanax with little/no effect, no blacking out slurring words etc)

so i have went 6+ months without dosing any benzos before and that did nothing to reduce my tolerance, so i've been thinking..
the last time i took a large dose of benzos was 12 mgs of kpin about 1-1.5 months ago, and the highest since then was 6 mgs of xanax..
now what i'm thinking is that if every time i do dose benzos, dose way smaller ammounts than i'm used to (2-4 mgs at most ideally, MAYBE 1-2x a week at MOST) that over time my body will get used to having small ammount in my system as apposed to having 10-15 mgs at one time thus lowering my tolerance that way

so do you think that this would work or am i just cursed with a high benzo tolerance forever?
i hate my benzo tolerance though i do need it quite frequently for theraputic reasons due to terrible anxiety, and to my surprise, i can actually get decent anxiety relief off a dose of about 4 mgs of xanax (though with the addict mind set, obviously more = better :P)

does this make any sense? taking low doses over a long period of time so my body can adjust to just getting small ammounts instead of frequently abusing insanely high doses
do you think this will ever do anything or am i basically fucked for life

i have more to add but i'm finishing up work atm and don't have much time to add more

any thoughts or input for me?

I didn't read that all , but yes definitely get use to lower doses. Like 2-4 mg should be all you need to get buzzing pretty well. Benzos are weird in the way that you take them and think you are not fucked up or not buzzing hard enough and you really are. Just start taking lower doses, and read up on foods and vitamins that replenish your GABA neurotransmitters.

The only way to lose your tolerance is to stop using benzodiazepines for a long long time. Using smaller doses isn't going to make your body "get used to" that level; drugs don't work that way.

Smaller doses, however, can be more effective for anxiety etc than huge doses.
