*** Red poppies have some folklore medicinal uses as a cough remedy, mild sedative and non-addictive sleep aid, though not nearly as potent as the related opium poppy, Papaver somniferum. The dried flowers can be taken as a tea, or powdered to put in capsules.

Also i read that they cannot be made into morphine (not what im after anyway so if thats the case thats good)

Seeing as i am looking at this in a herbal rememedy way,
I would like anyone with information on perhaps making it into a tea?
I dont have a clue.

- Do i make it from the red petals?
- How do i store the petals/flowers?

Folk remedies involving red poppies include making petal tea from a cup of boiled water poured over 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried petals. The beverage is said to soothe nerves and ease coughs. Syrup made from the petals is also used as an herbal cough remedy. Consult your physician before attempting any herbal self-treatment

Inside is white seeds on an unopened head.

Idk man just do what the folk remedies say. Surely there is some kind of opiate alkaloid responsible for the nerve calming and drowsiness.
Fuck are the poppy seed you buy at the story even from Papaver Somniferum or some other shit...the govt could be lying to us again!!

As a remedy I'd almost be more inclined to send to healthy living , but poppy pods and poppy info are more often found in BDD & OD, so I'll try BDD first.

not sure of where you can find them , Apparantly they grow wild in usa, europe and other places too.

Ive found a whole bunch of these in england so i just want to perhaps try them. To see if they actually work for this

just read this, kind of worrying?
Caution:
The Red poppy, which has petals with dark spots at the base, and the oblong capsule should not be used, as they contain an alkaloid resembling Thebaine.

Just did a little more research and it appears that:

Papaver somniferum = Avoid. Contains Thebaine

Papaver Rhoeas: This is what you want ( Contain Rhoeadine)
