red/pink meth...

a friend of a friend of mine managed to come across about 1g of some interesting meth.
the interesting part, other than it being good stuff, is that it's a reddish/pink color.
it turns into a clear puddle and works VERY well. i'm not too sure about how else to describe it, but i am curious about what gives it that color.
any ideas?
has anyone else out there come across something similer or cooked up something like this

i'm thinking it's food coloring, but it melts into a clear puddle and it doesn't leave any funky residue

Ive seen meth that looked like big rocks of red kool-aid...best stuff I've ever bought from a dealer. Might not be quite the same as cyrstal clear straight from the lab glass, but definatly the best on the streets.

Stuff Ive had recently has been slightly red, im assuming from the red pseudoephedrine.
It is obviously pure, so i dont think its cut with anythin.

doubt it is food coloring, as there would be no point - ive seen this type of meth from time to time, but never tried any

It is probably red phosphorus not extracted properly during the synth...

i don't think it's red phos sticking around that's causing the red color.
the stuff is in decent sized chunks, it looks kinda like pink rock salt.
so from this i'm guessing that the cook did some kind of recrystalization on it, and that would have washed the red phos away.
i'm thinking that it's just part of a marketing stratagy. you see white stuff on the street all the time, so this dude makes his stuff pink so it stands out.

The red meth I've had before has been just as good as the decent quality stuff I get normally.
And was told (but don't believe all you hear) it was just food colouring.
Oh well, as long as it works like you want it to, eh??

THE RED IN THE FINAL PRODUCT IS NOT FROM THE COLD PILLS! THE RED FROM THE PILLS IS DESTROYED EARLY ON IN THE PROCESS! PERIOD! END OF STORY! ITS NOT FROM THE PILLS!
If it's good meth then who cares about the red tint?
