there really isnt that much caffine in red bull..its actually less than a small cup of coffee.
it originated in thailand...some austrian guy took a vacation there and fell in love w/ the drink. he ended up getting the non-asian marketing license to sell the thai beverage under the name "red bull" which is what it translates to from thai. he started manufacturing it in austria and marketed it to dot-com peeps when the boom started in like 97. techs need all the stimulants they can get to stay awake. this guy made millions.
i learned this info from some article in the chi tribune. im sure everyone appreciatess the history lesson

The "interesting" ingredients are (this is a translation from Swedish so any errors are mine) taurine (0.4g/100ml), glucoronolactone (0.24g/100ml), caffeine (32mg/100ml), inositol, vitamines (niacin, panthenol, B6, B12). It tastes good but doesn't do shit and is expensive as ****. It doesn't even contain much caffeine. Coffee with sugar is far more effective.
