Recreational Klonopin

I know Klonopin is a benzo, and an intermediate-acting benzo (like Ativan), but I've got a question. It's a strong possiblility that I'm going to be prescribed Klonopin for anxiety--which is justified--but I was wondering the recreational use of it. The first benzo I ever did was Klonopin; I snorted 4 mgs and passed out. Since then, I've done Xannie bars and footballs, and Ativan several times, and have exjoyed them very much. I don't pass out, I just get a really euphoric, relaxed high. My question is, did I pass out from the Klonopin because it was my first time doing benzos, and I wasn't used to doing them, or is that just the nature of Klonopin? I guess I'm asking if I'll enjoy Klonopin as much as I enjoy Xannax and Ativan. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Just start at a lower dose, like 2mg and then 3 at a later date. It should have the same recreational value as Ativan. They both send me into a couple day depression personally. Depends on the person.
 
you passed out cause you took 4mg for your first time!..KLONOPIN is a longer lasting benzo than XANAX..alot of people like the shorter acting benzos(xanax) better than the longer lasting ones for recreation...so try it again and see how ya like it.......but in my opinion klonopin is best used for anxiety(and not recreation) cause it last so long..
 
blahblah's advice needs to be taken VERY LIGHTLY ... you do NOT go into your doctor demanging 2mg Klonopin when offered .5mg bid - remember, for someone that NOT TRYING TO GET HIGH, .5mg will help that anxiety ... now you can build - it's fairly easy to get up to 1mg tid, but you gotta first take the .5mg tabs for awhile .. it's a carefull dance on thin ice .. you DON'T want to come off as though yer getting an unmanagable tollerance to these meds...
But alas, this has turned into a thread dealing with how to script drugs... this isn't the place...
