HI All,
How damaging is recreational drug use ? Are there any good studies or websites with recent information on MDMA etc ?
I would class myself as a recreational drug user. I generally take something every other week or third week. Maybe a few lines of mephedrone, few lines of charile or a couple of pills. the only trouble is I have been like this now for nearly twenty years. I was a heavy MDMA user abuser for around a decade, must have taken well over a 1500 pills. I am a professional guy, hold down a good job. I just cant say no to a few cheeky ones when I am drunk. Am I really screwing myself up for my future ? I would love to see some up to date current mdma research.

Nothing good other than some good self exploration with psychedelics can come from chronic recreational drug use IMO.

It's good that you haven't picked up an addiction to any of these things but as far as I know MDMA is only bad because it makes you feel as though you can't enjoy parties without it and whatnot. As far as neurotoxicity goes, I'm not a scientist so I can't really comment. But I have read that it is as neurotoxic as meth. I've stopped taking MDMA from where I'm from because it's not mdma I get. I can't trust the dealers to get pure shit so I don't waste my time.

It's important to know that you must always separate drug use from reality at all times and if you've been doing this for around 20 years then I'm guessing you're probably in your 30s? You should consider calling a quits on the drug scene. I look at it as a youth phase unless you pick up a physical addiction.

As far as HR goes you may wanna work on self control as you said you can't say no to drugs when you're drunk as this can pose a serious issue. And look into cutting down and locking off the harder drugs in years to come to avoid any serious health issues.

Hope this helps.
