On day 6 of being clean after taking on average 60-70 mg of Hydrocodone a day for almost the last two years or so. This was all recreationally, not prescribed. I'm feeling much better...still battling PAWS, but exercise makes me feel so good! The "high" I get off the endorphins is almost comparable to the high I got from the pills! I love it. But, it almost feels like I need it to feel normal, just like I needed the pills to feel normal. My question is, am I getting addicted to working-out? I know there are much worse things to be addicted to lol, but I'd like to see the day when I have no more cravings, no more anxiety, no more fatigue, just back to normal without exercising or anything. Some days I'd like to just lay in bed with my wife all day and watch movies ya know?

How long until I might feel normal? A month?

By the way, I'm taking a complete multi-vitamin, Fish Oil, L-Tyrosine 500, and maybe a little Imodium to keep the remaining diarrhea at bay. I'm 25 years old. Oh, and how long until the diarrhea goes away? My appetite is finally coming back, but still got the runs daily.

well i would think, give yourself a couple weeks to get back to feeling good w/o the pills, that isn't really that much imo,but if you get addicted to working out instead i think that is a good thing, much better than taking pills to feel normal, good luck, just take it slow and maybe even go to some 12 step meeting jmho

>TDS IMO idrc though as long as you are provided with the answers you seek.

I just finished commenting on a OP's question which is about the time until you are normal again. Give my reply a read. Although it is quite long it should be very beneficial to you if you are serious about staying clean. If you don't wanna give it the full read look in the paragraph in the very middle your answer lies in there.

might i ask what PAWS is. not too familiar with the term.

^i think this is better suited to OD. TDS is more for dealing with the psychological issues surrounding addiction.

OP, the difficulty of PAWS is that it is unique to each persons addiction and the opiate that he or she abused. Most importantly with PAWS is understanding the underlying conditions that may have caused or exacerbated the addiction in the first place. For me, treating the underlying depression during the early part of PAWS allowed my neurochemistry to stabilize a lot quicker than someone else in my position with a similar pattern of use, Your issue maybe underlying anxiety or anger and whatnot so getting in to see a doctor during your detox or early in your recovery past the acute detox you want to get evaluated so that you can get some treatments for emotional or physical pain so that you don't have a crutch to fall back on and relapse.

Good luck to you and feel free to PM me if you have any further questions/concerns.
