I had a general idea of how it is made I just didn't know the chemicals involved. That is definitely not something people should be doing. But, ya know, meth...
 
Yeah, tweakers of all people, should not be doing it... its very simple, but also very easy to fuck up.... even more so when you've been up a week....

Exactly there’s no safe shake n bake far as I can tell..

Sad to hear that’s how he left though, he did seem a bit cocky is what he knew. Any links to the dangerous post or was it deleted?

It's very dangerous. I've seen one person doing it and I didn't want to be in the same room when it was going on. I don't like hanging around tweakers anyway because they become so paranoid about people being around them that aren't using. I'd welcome discussion about it though because it might save a life if someone reads about it and decides it isn't the best idea to attempt. I feel the same way about things like home baked heroin. I found a video guide for making that on youtube a long time ago. I saved the video because I knew it wouldn't last on that platform. The process seems simple enough but I wouldn't want to inject the end result after watching what all was involved.

When I think of HR related to this subject I'm thinking of things like doing a wash to remove everything but the active chemical from a batch of a drug bought on the street. Since I learned how to do that I won't consume things like cocaine without washing it first. I don't do cocaine very often but I've done it enough to know the difference between the good stuff and the stuff cut with God knows what. About a decade ago they were cutting it here with something that was causing growths in peoples necks. Several heavy users here had to have them cut out by a local doctor. The doctor was baffled and started warning patients of his not to buy cocaine in the area. Eventually, thanks to his efforts the local cocaine dealers changed the cut. I still have no idea what was in that cocaine but I'd love to find out.

Back when levamisole was really prevalent maybe? That was about ten years ago and effected a lot of people, but didn’t know it caused growths..

You know that would match up with the time period. I'll look into that cut and see what I can find. Whatever it was it would cause lumps in the throats of heavy users. It only took a couple of months after the new cut was introduced to the local market before people started showing up with lumps in their throats and sinuses. The doctor that figured it out did so after seeing multiple patients with this new unknown condition. It didn't take long before they put together that all of them were cocaine users and after interviewing them they figured out that all of them were getting their cocaine from the same source.

I can't recall all the details now but I'll ask someone I know about it. The lumps weren't cancer, they were supposedly benign and I don't know of anyone that suffered lasting problems from them. They first showed up in someone close to the source and then started popping up in end users some weeks later. Word got back to the source quickly and the cut was changed. After that no one got them.
