Recommended reading for effect of opiates on control of breathing

So I have to write a (relatively short) essay on the effects of opiates on the control of breathing. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some nice, in-depth reading on the subject? I know I'm setting myself up for a lmgtfy response; but all I'm asking is if anyone has come across something specifically on the subject matter in the past. Maybe you could post a name or link.

of course, any in depth reading you're going to do will probably require that you pay a journal to see the full article, unless you have uni access to online articles. If you just have to write a short essay though, you could just go to pubmed.com, type in "opiate respiratory depression," and use the abstracts.

are you a university student? if so, you need to ask a librarian or your professor about how to access medical journals through your university. just about every popular medical journal is available online.

if you are not at that level of education and this is for a high school health class or something, just google that shit.
