recommended Methadone dose for recreational use?

So I know Methadone is pretty potent and sedating more than other opiates so is figure I'd ask Bl since methadone is the only opiate I have yet to try, I'm not dependent at all but do have a minor tolerance so to say to opiates. I'm able to obtain 10mg pills. I'm looking to obviously get something out of them a nod being the best situation but don't want to get into a danger zone since I don't have any clue on what an ideal dose for me would be

30mg is recommended to someone with little tolerance to Opioids. Wait 3 hours and see how you feel, then increase the dose if you're not where you want to be.

Okay I'll do that, also I know methadone has a long half life, will I really be high for up to 24 hours? Or is that just a pipe dream? Lol
