I've use psychedelics for 13 years, and while it's been great, I think I may have altered upregulated serotonin receptors correlated with some symptoms I've been dealing with for a few years now.
I have very consistent symptoms that seem to be tied together. I have acid reflux, which irritates my esophagus , and I take cimetidine twice daily to treat it. It helps but it’s not treating whatever is the root cause of the problems. When ever I eat a large meal not only do I get acid reflux, but mucus volumes rise in the back of my throat. They remain elevated until the first stage of digestion it finished. At the same time I start to sweat, I salivate a lot, and my nose runs. There seem to be a more general autonomic or immune reaction occurring and I’m looking for a drug to block the reaction. Guaefenissen thins the mucus but does not do anything about the volume. Pseudoephedrine helps but it also dries out my eyes and causes burning. Antihistamines don’t seem to help that much. What works best is a combination of guaefenissen, pseudoephedrine, and antihistamines, but again the side effects persist and they seem to treat the symptoms rather than address the root cause of the problem.
If anyone knows of a generic drug I could take that would help me eventually downregualate or simply blocked the serotonin receptors I suspect are the cause of these symptoms I'd be very grateful. Thanks.
