"Reawaken" opiate withdrawal symptoms?

I've been curious about this. Is there anyone who was addicted to opiates for a short/moderate period of time... Experienced withdrawal and came out on the other side... Was clean for at least a month or so... And then eventually got high again once or twice (either by choice or by relapse)?

Assuming you didn't continue using after that, how did you feel? Was it no big thing? Or did it somehow "reawaken" the horrible depression and anxiety of withdrawal, albeit at a lower level?

From a biological standpoint I could probably infer an answer to this but I wanted to hear peoples experiences.

I want to use Oxy again... very sparingly... I have no source anymore so I know I can be responsible, but the withdrawal symptoms were really difficult to push through and I don't want to have... "flashbacks" lets say.

What are your experiences?

I quit using for about 6 months, and after 3 days of using I had withdrawals again, almost as bad as they were during my peak of usage.

After a single usage there are no withdrawals for me except the craving for more. I get intense psychological withdrawals (shitty but easy to get past if I stay occupied). But I only get full-blown screaming-for-bupe-and-benzos physical withdrawals if I binge heavily for a week, give or take a day.
I've been using off and on for about a year, but I broke my addiction / dependence in Nov 2009.
