i just bought a bottle of mandelin and was just curious what colour the liquid inside it should be. the colour of the liquid in mine is yellow, i tested a pill, which i suspected contained ketamine before i tested it, and there was a very slight almost insignificant change to orange (barely noticable), which indicates ketamine... does this sound correct? just curious whether i bought an old kit or sumthing. thanks anyway

The mandelin reagent is supposed to be yellow.

The ketamine reaction is a mucky orange colour, almost dirty brownish. It can be quite slow to appear but was always obvious to me. I suspect there was only a very small amount of K in the sample. You could try testing again with more scrapings (don't go overboard, a few decent scrapes is ample). Make sure you're in adequate white (fluorescent) light if possible as the distinction between yellow and orange is less clear under yellow (incandescent) light.
