Reached my limit?

No such thing as a "weak ++++". Either it was ++++ or it wasn't.
Hmm. Perhaps there's some confusion about terminology here. When I said "++++", what I meant was a Level 4 on the Graeme Carl/Leary scale that can be found on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychedelic_experience) or Erowid (http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/faqs/psychedelic_experience_faq.shtml#4f) and which certainly can have weak and strong modalities. I wasn't referring to the Shulgin scale, which doesn't strike me as being very useful. I guess I'll try to stay away from using pluses in the future or will clarify which scale I'm using.

I don't really understand what "open-eye ego death" is supposed to mean either.
What I mean by this is that on a reasonably high dose of psychedelics (like 20 mg of 2C-E), I can often achieve an ego-less state where I don't know what or who I am by closing my eyes, meditating, and engaging with the CEVs. These states tend to be brief, and when I snap back into being after such an experience, I can generally choose to keep my eyes closed and reengage or to open them and return to consensus reality. With higher doses, it becomes possible for me to have these experiences with my eyes open and to extend their duration from several minutes to an hour or more. This is the distinction I was trying to make.
