Hey,
So my girlfriend and I have been on again off again addicts for about 2.5 years now. We're both smokers and have been recently using around .3-.5 a day. In the past we have used Subs to get through the WDs and then would stay clean for months at a time. The WDs are simply unbearable without the help of a Sub. Unfortunately all the Subs Ive gotten in the past have been found on the street but now I cannot find any. Im thinking about going to a doctor to try and get a prescription since my research indicates that it is fairly easy to find a MD willing to help. In the past my girlfriend and I have split a single 8mg/2mg strip and rapid detox from it. We start with 2mg the first day, 1 mg the second day, .5 the third, .25 the fourth and after that we're pretty much set. Any further discomforts we have found to be manageable. So I am wondering if I should share this information with the doctor because 1) I dont want to pay for more than I need 2) I dont want to be on it for longer than I have to. Will the doctor be less likely to prescribe me something if they know I have used it in the past? Also will they take my previous experiences with it into consideration or will they want to put me on a program? As the actual appointment is often the most expensive part I dont want to pay an arm and a leg only to be prescribed nothing. Thank you guys for the insight..
