So like a year and a half ago I went through a period of about 6 months where I was alternating between a lot of MDMA and LSD and it ended up leaving me really spaced out and with some HPPD and anxiety. I know MDMA primarily depletes seretonin, but what does LSD affect??? It's dopamine right??? I was wondering if anyone could suggest some supplements to help increase my seretonin and/or dopamine levels. I took 5-HTP for a few months and I think I noticed an improvemnt, but I can't say for certain it wasn't just time that did the healing. I'm also not interested in taking anything that needs to be prescribed by a doctor, only OTC stuff.........so any tips??? Thanks.

a really good multivitamin, 45 mins exercise daily, I dare you to report back the results i n30 days if you actually do this

I would love to believe so, maybe I just not the most consistent.
I can see the benefits of it but as a long term solution to issues like this...I'm rather skeptical of it.

I've been taking multivitamins lately and fish oil...going to start exercising(skateboarding) more often as well and try to benefit from that.

you gotta do the exercise daily consistent ... most ppl don't eat balanced get good sleep and exercise consistently including me...

Yea I've been taking piractetam for a while.....I recently switched to aniracetam and they both seem to of been helpful. I think my biggest issue right now is the fact that I stay up till like 5 every morning and I'm constantly like half awake. It's like no matter how tired I am during the day, when it hits midnight I'm like wide awake and just lay in bed for hours.

Maybe you should see a doctor and get some Benzos worst case scenario.

skateboarding is a really good way to get your exercise and it also give you good gratification when you learn new stuff. Its what ive been doing a lot of latly.

Lots of B vitamins!

Yes, MDMA primarily affects your serotonin system, and while LSD does have some dopamine action, it is also primarily a serotonergic drug as well. However, even though they both work on serotonin, their action on the system could not be more different. MDMA releases and inhibits reuptake of serotonin, while LSD attaches to and agonizes serotonin receptors.

Going to a doctor is not necessary and getting on benzos or anti-depressants will be counterproductive. As mentioned above, just take vitamins, take good care of yourself, eat good foods, drink a lot of water, and avoid drugs. You'll be fine in no time!

Notice I said, "Worst Case Scenario".

Sleep, food and exercise. Oh, and time. :)

You're taking a good choline supplement with those *cetams, right? Otherwise you're going to be burning out and/or wasting your money. Also, for the reference, LSD affects (for the most part) 5HT2 receptors directly, but there is some indirect dopamine agonism IIRC. It's been a while since I've looked into psychopharmacololgy, and my memory's a mite rusty.

Piracetam is good for your situation.. at least from what I hear.

gosh what do you always have with piracetam :D
That stuff is so hard to get with out getting it perscribed by a docter.

Yeah I still have brain damge from my use of DXM too. My memory and picturing has gotten real bad. So you thing keeping your self fit with doing lots of exerzise will do the job ?

I just hear so many good things about it. As a matter of fact, i'm going to bring that up when I see my doctor next week.

One possibility that you might be overlooking is that your condition has nothing to do with your drug use. Have you had a complete physical lately?
Personally, I think vitamins are only good for people with vitamin deficiencies. The hypothesis that taking more of a good thing has been completely discredited, and in some cases can do you harm. That said, physical exercise has been implicated in improving many areas of brain function and cognition. You could do worse than 30 minutes of jogging 5 days a week.

something that's worked well for me is positive thinking. that, and if you need science, then realize that the brain heals itself over time by rerouting around damage to compensate. shit, people who've had half their brains removed go on to live decent lives.....and i know for a fact i have some brain damage, so i'm speaking from experience when i say that it gets better if you stay sober.

Yes I'm sure it's from drug usage. I said some HPPD and anxiety in my OP but it's really quite severe I just didn't wanna sound like I was whining or anything. I've also had depersonalization for about 9 months which is arguably the worst thing I've experienced in my entire life. Aslo, about the choline supplements......I had read somewhere online that taking choline with racetams was to avoid getting headaches, not to increase its effectiveness, is that not true??? I'm also probably never going get on benzos.......I've just heard too many horror stories of people getting addicted, and all this stuff about them just masking your issues and not really fixing them. I actually know a girl that went to rehab last year for xanax so I'm gonna try to keep my distance from those, thanks for the advice though nonetheless.

Melatonin and tizanidine. (I believe both are nonaddictive, like ibuprofen and aspirin; I also believe you can get addicted to anything, including drinking gasoline (there is apparently someone like that).)

Yea you're right.
