Rank most sedative drugs as sleep aids

Midazolam IV is very sedating. The nod is as powerful as an opiate nod and usually ends up with you passing out after 30-60 minutes depending on your tolerance. If you have a moderately high tolerance you may not pass out or it may take longer to get knocked out. If you have a low tolerance you may easily black out.

I agree with those that mention seroquel. No recreational potential whatsoever for me, but it could be used to sedate a rhino AFAIK. One problem I had was that it made me starving and I would wake up to a _HUGE_ mess of food in the kitchen sometimes... A little bit heavy for a sleep aid but it works. And obviously a benzo + opiate at the right doses works wonders, but what a waste if your intention is just to get some sleep.

Anon, do you post on another board??? This is Lorne. But I doubt your the Anon I am thinking of, but just checking.

Anyway, Seroquel is very fucking sedating. Then you have your basic selection of sedating benzos, barbituates, muscle relaxers, and of course, opiates that I am sure have been covered here.

Also, as far as over the counter sleep aids go, I find doxlyamine succinate surprisingly effective(particularly the 25mg UNISOM brand)
