Random significantly increased heart rate

I just noticed my heart rate is around 95bpm, while it is usually between 50-60. I've been sitting still for a few hours and doing absolutely nothing. I'm not nervous, and I doubt the drugs I took today have had any impact on it.

Yesterday evening I took 2mg of Xanax to see if it would be an appropiate dose to use on a 10 hour flight. Next morning I felt incredibly sleepy and lethargic, so I decided to mix 200mg of caffeine with 180mg of adrafinil and 10mg of (pure, 73%) amphetamine to wake me up.

Nothing special going on, but around noon I got bored with some friends and took a bump of MXE. I noticed barely anything and it's been 5 hours since and suddenly my heartrate has shot all the way up, and it scares me that it still isn't coming down.

I'm not too worried this is bad in any significant way, but I can't help but wonder why the hell this is happening. I'm an otherwise healthy active young male who's usually never had any problems concerning heart rate with anything, except maybe high doses of DMT and MDMA, but that is to be expected.

I'm sorry if this is a long post but I just really wanna know why this is happening, because after 20 minutes, it still doesn't seem to be going away.

Caffeine, adrafinil, amps, MXE. I'm almost certain this has something to do with the drugs. Otherwise you're just panicking on your own. Now if your heart rate is that high from now until tomorrow then that may be a bit of a problem.

You've taken stimulants... it's the drugs.

95bpm isn't over the top though. Getting worried about it will trigger anxiety which will make it increase.

If you want it to come down faster, eat something mineral rich, especially anything that's high in magnesium. Avoid stimulants in the mean time.

As said, it's stimulant induced, possibly rebound after the xanax worked its way out of your system. 95 isn't really that bad though, tachycardia is when it goes over 100. Have a hot shower/bath, do some meditation or deep breathing, have some food, and generally just relax.

You've had a lot of stimulants, as others have stated. that said ,60-100bpm is considered in the normal range. Even if you're above normal, what you really want to watch out for is any variance in rhythm (arrhythmia), chugging, murmuring, or pounding very hard, or bad circulation. A fast heart rate can be caused by anything as extreme as meth to as innocuous as eating a large meal.

my bpm used to be around 100+ resting but it was during my crazy drinking binges which made my anxiety worse
but caffeine alone can accelerate your heart rate which in fact is normal plus the addition of all the other stuff you took
def the drugs you took

Some non-stimulant medications have been known to cause this as well, such as tricyclic antidepressants (TCA) and even over the counter stuff like diphenhydramine can raise your BP/HR for quite a while after taking them.
