gbl is probably the best hangover cure ive tried, only problem is you gotta keep redosing every few hours.

The job market is total shite right now. Why would you want to quit your job if you were in work during such a terrible time in the job market, not only that to find out you're on such a good wage atm. Seems daft to me. Especially one with such good benefits and a fantastic pension plan. We're all looking for a job like that.

I'd put up with some amount of shit for that kinda deal.
 
Well, just downed xanax No. 6 (not as good as Jackson Pollock's #5) with the dregs of somebody else's champagne. Fuck poverty. In fact, "Somebody Else's Champagne" would be a great song or poem title. Ah well.
 
Massive memory meltdown ftl :|

Body appears to be too old to cope with even the lightest of thrashings without requiring several days of sleep squared (can't remember the button to make it look sexier so wordz it iz). That's fair enough cos am getting on a bit now. But something is eating my PC memory faster than I can clear it. Certain suspiciously shonky-looking Chinese softwarez iz looking guilty with hindsight. Really should check up on such things before installing...

That aside, if the 20kb of free memory left (current high point :|) can cope with the last 15% of this here DVD's worth of backup stuffz thingz will be somewhat less stuttery - hopefully to the point of practicality. Over two hours to even boot. Fuckin' Chinese shonkware can get to fuck :|

Your idea of a good wage & my idea of a good wage obviously differ. Working for a fucking idiot organisation, with idiot managers & having to talk to idiot "customers" all day on the phone for 18k a year isn't worth it in my opinion.

The only "good benefit" is getting paid to be off sick, but I've already ripped that to the max so if I'm off sick again in the next 4 years I just get SSP. I couldn't give a fuck about the pension plan, one of the first things I'm doing when I go back is looking in to taking my cash back out the pension if possible, adding that to whatever cash I can save up in the next couple of months, quitting the stupid fucking job & pissing off to Ibiza for the summer.

That's if I don't get sacked on Wednesday, I doubt I will though, they're a bunch of fucking morons, even the letter I got telling me about the "will we or will we not sack you" meeting has the date, the place, the room number but no time whatsoever lol.

My return to work thing is already a complete shambles & I'm not even back yet. Couldn't get a hold of my manager until about half 5 on Friday, trying to find out what the fuck I'm supposed to do on Monday. I've now got another new manager apparently, I've to go to floor 5 (a part of the building I've never even been in) on Monday at half 9 & just wander about looking for this new manager who I've never met before. The new manager wasn't in on Friday & by the sounds of it she is completely unaware that I'm going to be coming in on Monday. This is how they bring someone back to work who has been too stressed/anxious to work for the past 7 months??? (I know that I was at it, but they should be treating it as if it was genuine).

I'll probably lose the plot at some cunt on Monday & get insta-sacked for gross misconduct or something.

DVD recorder spent an hour stuttering me into submission only to tell me it failed at the last minute. But at least the music player and stuff seems to now work. Looks like I'll just have to actually watch all this stuff I downloaded rather than saving it for another time. Or fuck the lot off and start again. Music being the sticking point...

Pro-Tip: Don't lose the USB lead to your external HDD. Or install appealing-looking Chinese softwarez without looking up the latest reviews of 'em (all of which appear to say "Was great. Now seriously broken so avoid like the plague.". Semi-woot.

Eh? American Football is one of the few sports I'll happily watch. The Superbowl is fucking excellent.
