Is consuming meth at a useful level for educational/social/work reasons with some sort of regime possible? or forget the idea?
also some info relating to how quickly tolerence would build up would be good too
EDIT: Safe from what? Safe from tolerence going through the roof, safe from the usefullness turning into a hellish nightmare.

If your going to use meth to study for school or help you be productive at work, thats absolutly fine! Your not going to want to get *spun* on it, but rather take a tiny amount oral, or snort a tiny bump. You just want to feel more motivated and improve your concentration, you don't want to get all spun up. Tolerence wont be much of an issue, as it will rise very slowly doing it like this. And even the amounts it raise will be insignificant.

I would say that you can use meth, orally, in smallish amounts, up to 3 times a week (spread out as much as possible) without developing a noticebale tolerance or developing any siginifant long term health problems. More than that, though, and you are pushing it.

I agree with fairnymph (as usual), but want to add that if you're at all predisposed to dependence, using meth that often is a big risk. Unless you're very very careful, you're going to want to do it more often, want to take more at once, and start to depend on it to get anything done. I've seen it happen before... Hell, I have one of the least addictive personalities of anyone I know, and I still wouldn't trust myself doing meth that often.

Actually, addiction isn't even a risk when you're using such small amounts - remember, meth isn't physically addictive, so if you're not doing enough to get the euphoria and 'spun out' feeling, you don't usually fiend for it ..
You can safely use amphetamines on a daily basis as long as the quality is good and the dose is small - case in point - the millions of children we have taken Addderall, Dexedrine, Ritalin, and even Desoxyn ..

I disagree. I sorta assume anyone posting here has a fair bit of experience with recreational drug use, and knows those meth feelings. I've used it for work before, and it's fucking tempting to take just a little more.. "I need to stay up longer anyways, and I'll be so much more inclined to do this work if I'm really happy." Then of course you remember how great that last meth high was. You won't get horrid cravings off the bat, but it's IMO a hard level of use to sustain... easy to get worse. Example: a friend of mine was a pot/psychedelics-only drug user when he diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed Adderall. Taken as prescribed, it did wonders for his symptoms, but it wasn't long until he was binging every few days and feeling like shit on the others.
Maybe more likely is just getting dependent upon it with your work... said friend finds it nearly impossible to work w/o stims now. I have noticed it's a hell of lot to harder to pull an all-nighter drug-free than it was before I started using stims, and I don't even do so regularly. What's going to happen if you have to work late four or five or six nights a week? I'm guessing it's likely to turn into more meth.
Course I am sure there are some people who could do this and not crave more or have problems sober, just think they're few and far between. I wouldn't trust myself with it. Phreex, didn't you once say once that you ceased being productive sober after starting your meth habit?
Oh, and on a side note, I really think physical addiction is pretty unimportant. Not that withdrawal doesn't suck, but it doesn't seem like a big factor in how unpleasant an addiction is. I mean fucking SSRIs are physically addicting... there are plenty of addicts to meth/coke/nicotine just as there are opiate/alcohol addicts.

me and my highly addictive personality cannot "regulate" my drug usage most of the time. its ALL or NOTHING for me. although i do think it is possible. some people say they do a little meth and can't sleep for DAYS. my tolerance is high enough that i can do a little, and easily fall asleep that night (provided i don't do any after like 5 pm or so). i suppose its possible to do "safely". i dunno. i always end up doing too much...but oh well :)

Well, the idea is that you take meth daily so you can be a productive worker - it's a great idea but you might want to re-consider using meth on a regular basis as once you get used to it as a tool for work, it's hard to go back to work sober..
But it's an easy thing to control when it comes to addiction - if you get "urges" to use more then you shouldn't be using in the first place.. after I moved back from the coast (where I was badly addicited to it) I got a job that started early in the morning, so from time to time I would start my morning with meth - I never got the urge to do more and I used to be addicited.. so I think someone thats never had a problem with it wouldn't lose focus because they are fiending.. also, a small dose taken orally will give you a fair bit of energy - don't under estimate that.. you might not be rushing the same as right after you rail a gagger, but you wont be thinking "maybe I should do just a little more, I had a blast last time I was at Kandie Land 6 listening to Paul Oakenfold after I did that glass" .. you might even be an annoying asshole with too much energy - the type that doesn't shut up to fellow co-workers..
I was never productive, meth made me productive, but after I was hooked for a few months (then I quit) my life was totally devoid of meaning.. to this day I cant stand to be sober, I have to be on something... so it's not that meth use made it impossible for me to become productive - I never was in the first place.. it just gave me something to compare my lazy sober lifestyle too.. also, just to remind everyone, I was shooting like a 1/4oz of high-quality meth daily (well, per 24-hour block) .. I abused the drug in ways you will never abuse it, so don't think I was a casual user that got hooked - I had nothing better to do so I used daily, then when I finally ran out a few months later, I was addicited.. it's a very easy drug to control, nothing like what people make it out to be like...
Again, it's not physically addictive, so as long as you have a little will-power, you will have no problem ... trist me on this one, even after I was addicited (and quit) I used it to have productive work days about 1-3 days a week for the entire time I held the job (only a few months before I quit - they wanted us to be there at 8am!)

Really, thanks for some terrific advice & replies, means a lot to me.
Oh well who knows what a future holds.
I definetely need something because I have a brain but I don't have the get up and go and the willpower to do the things I know I could achieve, but I'm leaving it late being 21.
ahhhhh...

I am the SAME, EXACT WAY! When I apply myself I can do incredible shit, but I can't unleash any of that sober.. opioids are now my drug of choice but the idea is the same.. you will find that a drug will totally turn your work life around, I mean, you will be a new person.. suffer through a few days of work then bust out with some dope, you will have a bust-ass day, productive as hell, your boss will tell you how impressed he is, you will feel GOOD about work even...
Your only regret is that you didn't do it sooner!
