railing Lorazepam (Ativan) ??

I just got a script for some 0.5mg pills. I was wondering if railing them would make for a better buzz. Somebody told me it really would NOT because they are not water soluable, and therefore they would not be absorbed by your nasal passages. Anybody else know?
 
Ya it won't do anything extra, you mught as well crush them and drink the powder with water. Its just that in powder form your body absorbes it faster. But hey, just so you know, ativan is one of the longer lasting benzos, and if you do alot b4 bed, the next day you will be very messed up and not even realize that you are falling asleep everywhere and slurring badly, so if you plan to do alot, do not do it b4 bed. Obviously I did that very thing, and then I went to work... but all my manager did was laugh about it lol have fun
 
uh oh :/ lets see... friday I got a script for 60 0.5mg pills. Directions are to take a half to 1 pill twice a day. At 10 am that friday I took 2. It was GOOD!!! Then I slept an went out an rolled on 4 green bow n arrows all night. Then I took 2 more lorazepam at like 6 am when I was goin to sleep. That worked GOOD for an E comedown!!!! :) Then I went out and got some stuff and came back in. And I took 2 more lorazepams with a bottle o wine to keep helpin the E comedown :) :) :) then took 2 more bout a half hour ago. Ummm... THESE R GOOD! I think Im gonna start a HOORAY 4 BENZOS thread :)
 
you're right!!!! they are kinda long lasting! I was prescribed a half to a whole 0.5mg pill 2 times daily as needed. How u can cut these little suckers is beyond me!!! Well.. on day #1, I dropped 2 pills at 10-11ish am and felt a nIIIIIIce lil benzo buzz. I slept that afternoon then went out Sat nite and rolled HARD! I took 2 benzos at 6 am on day #2 to help the E comedown. They worked GREAT!!!!!! :) :) :) Then later in day #2, I took 2 more at like 8pm and 2 more at 10pm and drank a couple bottles of good wine. VERY VERY nice benzo buzz! :) all calm & relaxed all over. Only complaint is the double vision. It's hard to focus ur eyes on anythin. Well... tday is day #3... and Im in sorta a benzo hangover/stupor. Thinking is REAL fuzzy and Im off balance walkin n stuff. I kinda remember this from doin benzos before. Im sure I'll be fine tomorrow if I dont do any more tday. But... Im lovin these benzos :) :)

Afterglow, my apologies! I had to guess, had a 50/50 chance... Anyways, watch out, everytime I've gone on a heavy benzo binge, it's resulted in fuzzy and/or nonexistant memories of a few days.

Yup...I took 6 mg one night before bed, as I thought that it had a duration like xanax, but the next day, I could barely function, I was so messed up. Kept fallin asleep in class, couldn't write...So, be careful.

I got a script for Lorazepam 2 mg dose am supposed to take 1/2 to 1 dose twice daily. When I take one pill I feel really out of it, dizzy and there is some nausea. I have found there is some weepy depression, I think it might be from an outside source but I'm not sure yet. Anyone else get that?
 
I take .5 mg Ativan every day as needed for anxiety. I find it very helpful and would not recommend that you rail it. It works really well for its intended purpose. I definitely agree that the benzos are fun, but moderation is the key given that tolerance develops quickly. Follow the directions on your script and you'll feel more in balance soon without being abusive.
just my .02 as a senior psych major and an anxiety patient!
 
What more can really be said? Ativan really isn't that long lasting of a benzo.. it's actually considered one ofthe shorter acting ones.. you can snort it - I still say it hits faster, but personally I would just eat them.. on an empty stomache they kick in fast and pack a nice punch!

As you've said benzo's are hydrophobic (not water soluble). If swim wanted to bang the benzo's, would the best method be to fill a syringe about 2/3 the way with dh2o, 1/3 propylene gycol then the crushed tab? banging is dangerous. if you do it, it needs to be done right.
 
OOOOOohhhhhhh.....
I started thinkin it had to do with mixing powdered pills with water then somehow putting it in your nose- which seemed a little fucked up to me.....
sorry- I get a little confused sometimes...
