one sound before they're all around
___till one by one
so often time fades into night

And still they might outdo the sun
one thousand whispers fade to flight
lost kisses when the clock impedes
___and ere they've gone
so softly rabbits run

I always love the note you end on... it's not the same note every time, but you sure know how to round out a piece, tie the melodic threads, resolve the rhythmic counterpoints.

I especially like these lines:

look around
your eyes will often
miss their flight
one thousand wishes
___ere you miss
their disappearance into night
