So in short ive fallen back cigs ive "quit" a couple times usually using ecigs but when i started working more i found myself drawn back in to smoking with co workers. I would just go get some ejuice and wipe the dust off my drip tip but i go through it so quick and i dont like the cheap ones that you cant even feel the smoke. (I have a nemisis which isnt universal so i cant just put a tank on it) and i dont want to buy another. Ive onnly been able to quit with ecigs and cant seem to find another substitute. Any advice? I miss breathing lol

Hey SC-

Well, what do you think is the best way to motivate yourself?

You said you wanted to be able to breathe better. However, clearly that isn't doing it for you.

So, some ways to motivate yourself:

~Investigate the ill effects of smoking further (this might not be your way; but I'll include it because it might be helpful to
someone else reading this). This could be anything from looking at pictures of diseased lungs, for example, to reading about the health problems that develop with continued smoking, to going on forums and reading first-hand accounts of people who are suffering from health issues because of smoking.

~ Reward yourself for not smoking in some way. This could be after every day of not smoking, giving yourself some small reward, or after a longer period, giving yourself a larger reward. You could even put aside in a jar the money you would have spent on smoking for this purpose.

~If you are into fitness, set physical goals for yourself to be able to accomplish that you currently cannot accomplish because you get short of breath.

Etc.

Find what motivates YOU, and figure something out based on it.

Of course, truly WANTING to quit is enormously helpful. If you're not quite there yet, then do plenty of research on the consequences of smoking, and FEAR THOSE THINGS. Because they don't just happen to "other people". That might be enough to get you where you want to be mentally - actually WANTING to quit, rather than wanting to want to.

Good luck to you! With a true desire to quit, and the proper motivation, YOU CAN DO IT!

:)

Peace.

Here's my story of quitting briefly summarised. : to motivate myself to quit, I imagined what my quality of life was going to be like at 55 and 65 years old. I obsessed over this until I couldn't take it any more. Then I moved to the nicotine gum for a few months. Not painful but even with the gum I missed the cigarettes, however the gum did keep me from smoking. I went from the 4 mg to the 2 mg pieces. Finally I realized that the nicotine gum was giving me panic or anxiety attacks, so only took half pieces of the 2 mg pieces and dropped the gum altogether after another 3 days. No real withdrawals but a lot of cigarette and gum cravings my first week completely off nicotine. I've got about 2weeks off nicotine now.

I did not have good luck using ecigs cos I started to just use it as a bridge when I was inside and couldn't smoke. Eventually I was vaping and smoking and more addicted to nicotine than ever. Tbh I thought I'd use the gum the rest of my life But luckily those panic/anxiety attacks induced by nicotine gum became unbearable.

I doubt anyone wants to spend the money on it, but it beats spending it on cigarettes and future medical bills. There is no substitute that is cheaper and works on par with the ecig, in my opinion at least. Its not even that expensive after your initial investment on your device. $20 bottle of good juice lasts me a week and I vape constantly. Good luck!
