I'm just learning about this, so forgive any blindness towards chemistry.

Instead of using lemon or citrus to hasten psilocybin-psilocin conversion, could one use raw apple cider vinegar?

Thanks.

I guess it would work, yes.

BTW, I don't think this question is suited for ADD.

Yes assuming esterases are not an important second principle of citrus fruits next to the acid. We don't know about any of that. (if someone can show why this could not be a possible part of the story I'd like to hear about it and stand corrected).

I'm surprised you didn't add any disclaimers about the shroom lemon tek being unproven and doubted, Sekio.

On the other hand, none of that was an answer specific to the original question. ;)

I don't think it matters too much for the conversion - your stomach & body is full of esterase enzymes.
The acid from my pov is more for solublizsing the psilocin and friends. Any side hydrolysis is completely coincidental.

In theory you could use battry acid, but it would have to be incredibly dilute. Stick to lemons, oranges, cola et cetera.

Okay, I made a tea using about 100 hits of acid. Tasted funky, but whatever. Thanks guys!

juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust kidding.
