Hello, ive be smoken DMT for couple of months now out of a machine. i would say properly like 6 to 7 times a month Each time i smoke i blast off at least 5 or 7 times a time. I went to smoke some the other night an i took a huge rip an all i got was some little visuals if that, no blast off or anything really. I know its not the DMT because all my friends blasted off of it and it some pretty pure stuff. Just wondering if this has happen to anyone else and the reason for it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Smoken? Heh heh.

Well generally tryptamines build a fast tolerance, that goes away very quickly. Give it a coupl'a weeks, you should be able to blast right off again.

I've never had to wait any longer than an hour for DMT. It's not like other psychedelics where you need twice the amount to achieve close to the same effects.

Though, in my experience, and from what I've heard from others is that if you are smoking from the same batch your brain/body builds an immunity, not just to the drug itself, but the experience.
I've heard that recrystallizing can give the crystals a new "life" so too speak, and re-amp their power.

It may be just tolerance, but unless you are consuming other tryptamines or other drugs that may interfere I would say to get some Harmala (i.e. Syrian Rue seeds) to see if that potentiates it at all.

Otherwise just wait a little while.
And dont forget to tell us what worked for you.

tolerance with DMT is so temporary.

I mean, you smoke as much as you like, and within an hour or so, you are ready to smoke again and attain full effects.

it just sounds like an inconisistent batch of DMT, sometimes If I did a crude extraction I will have parts of my end product (which is a homogenous mix) that are inactive.

The only other thing I can think of is if you had recently consumed something with MAOI or SSRI properties, that could really effect the experience.

^ agree and disagree

there is an acute short term tolerance that rapidly dissipates.

however if you smoke it for years most will acquire a longterm tolerance to the drug as a result semi-permanent physiological changes in the body and brain.

^^yea i was smoking the more orangery stuff that night so i think that is my answer right there thanks..^^

but i also forgot to mention i did do 200mg of pure MDMA shards that night as well but they never has effected my DMT trip in the fact of not being able to blast off. Has effected it in fact of me haven a amazing trip tho.

Since when? That doesn't happen with LSD, psilocin, mescaline or any traditional psychedelics as far as I know, especially DMT. there are tribes in south america that use ayahuasca on a weekly basis for years on end. Ive been doing DMT on a semiregular basis for nearly 4 years and if anything I seem to be more sensitive to its effects

In clincal trials tolerance dissipates within 30 mintues or so (check out the
Spirit Molecule). That said I think you can psychologically be somewhat "tolerant" to the effects, for instance if you already broke through twice in a night, the third time isn't going to be as mindblowing as the first, but thats true of all experience and IMHO not a product of "tolerance".

Recrystallizing will increase purity, which will make it easier to consume a bigger dose, dunno about the whole "life" of the crystals business, but Ive always leaned on the side of scientific reductionism, for better or worse
