I'm a pretty advanced IV'er, but this last time I did it with Morphine Pills a little bump has styed there over 48 hours. No bruises or other marks, its not red around the area, just a little bump under the skin about the size of a pea. It hurts a little to touch, but not that much.
I'm just wondering if its common and if it will just go away or if I should have it checked out.

It was possibly fluid outside the vien, but that shouldnt have lasted so long - did you filter really good first? Just pop-it with a needle, it shouldn't be a problem.. might wanna put some neosporin on it as well..

is it an area you use a lot, and did you do it perfectly or have problems? and did it appear immediately (like 5-10 minutes)?
it could be "some fluid".. it could be a hematoma caused by blood leaking out of a vein. if it is, it should go away in a few days and probably will turn into a bruise as it does.
if its especially large it may need treatment.. well.. technically itd probably be a good idea anyway.. but you might not want to, its understandable =P
do not *do not* pop it
that would just be a bad idea.. it would probably take longer to heal, might get infected, stuff like that. and it probably wouldn't just go away...

did you feel excessive burning when you were pushing the plunger in? Did you keep checking for blood to make sure you were not missing throughout the fix? If you felt a lot of burning you might have "missed' a few lines, sometimes this results in an abcess but not always. I still have a few spots on my body thyat feel like a little ball of "hard" stuff under the skin close to the vein, some of those are more than two years old.I've been mainlining since '84 and the best advice is keep changing the "spot" you'll avoid fucking up any vein for good and you'll have many years of happy, easy flagging in front of you

I am more inclined to think it's just irration, as a hematoma/hematomatic cyst is usually a VERY noticible bruise - is it just a bump or a dark bruise?
Yeah, poping might not be a good idea on second thought..

possible... much better he has a hematoma than a true abcess... abcesses would develop more slowly though, so if it came up right after it probably isnt one. but then hematomas usually would get smaller in 2 days.

Thanks guys. No there was no pain when it went in. There is no bruise either. I'm inclined to believe that it will go away in a couple. Thanks
Also, Phreex (or others) I'm looking for other places to inject. I always use my arm close to elbow. It might be because I';m useing that area too much.

you shouldn' use the same area to shoot in every time. it's better to do various places. if you look, you will probably find some new places cos the body got quite a few of them. party safe!

Geez, there are hundreds of places to inject.. some of the easy areas to hit safely -
1) Wrists
2) Inner Elbow
3) Forearm
4) Waist
5) Legs (not feet!)
Just look for a vein then go for it - just make sure you pull the plunger out to ensure you're not in an artery!
