anyone ??? i searched and cant seem to get a str8 answer some said yes some say no i have legitimate bad pain and am trying to make my med last in other words i would like to save it for when i really need it after the pain calms down because i strained it again already had 3 surgeries don't want another safety and self control a must when taking ur meds thanks

It will make the narcotic effects weaker, as WGFJuice contains furanocoumarins that inhibit enzymes in the liver that convert codeine -> morphine, via CYP2D6 inhibition, and since codeine is a narcotic prodrug (as is tramadol -> O-Desmethyltramadol), then adding WGFJ will not be ideal for your purposes (analgesia).

These "furanocoumarins found in grapefruit juice includes: bergamottin, bergapten, bergaptol and 6',7'-dihydroxybergamottin," from Wikipedia. This article from the same non-peer-reviewed "source" (Wiki) will give you a broad overview to help you understand. You can search PubMed articles through Google Scholar to confirm these assertions for yourself.

Best of luck with your post-operation recovery, and remember never to abuse the medications that you actually need, since your prescribed dose might not work as well in the future the days you actually do need it to.
