First, as a disclaimer, let me clearly state that I am already in good enough shape to be able to run a marathon, so I am not looking for a crutch.
With that out of the way, I would like to probe regular kratom users (or at least users that utilize kratom's potent enhancement boosting effects in both anaerobic and aerobic exercise) who frequent this board about their experiences in using kratom for endurance training.
In my experiences with using kratom while working out, I find that kratom has the capacity to lower my need for food and increase overall energy concurrently. However, the downside is that I feel slightly more dehydrated than normal (not to a very noticeable degree) with a reduced capacity to take in more water due to somewhat extensive nausea (however, this is only the case if I go beyond 10 grams). Yet, I've never run into any complications in the past with using it during a workout. I find that "burn-outs" are incredibly enjoyable, and I don't have to rely on anger to motivate me through a particularly difficult session. Further, I feel less fatigued afterwards, and am still motivated to be productive after a half hour of rest.
Would the above dis/advantages be ideal for a marathon? I don't plan to use it to gain an edge in a marathon race. I intend to simply use it so that the process is enjoyable, instead of torturous. I've already done marathons, and the single biggest factor was the maintenance of motivation rather than any physical problems. I find that after an hour of running, I get incredibly bored to the point where I lose interest, and am unable to see the benefit in what I am doing. Yet, with kratom, I can just get lost in pleasurable thoughts and reach a consistent meditative state of mind.
So, any kratom users wish to chime in? Thank you.
