questions about the industry

Aus has limited entry, (sure i guess you could smuggle off the cliffs of WA if you wanted :S) and excellent boarder patrol / customs (except for equine related goods, then they get through for free :P)
Due to this, I think that most of the AUS crop is in-house, hence the horrible quality and selection that we endure :S
Lol we get shit for weed here, and yes, it's quite a pocket fuck.
That being said, i'm still just as happy to buy my ozzie, thank you :)

^^^ agreed. Aussie weed is like aussie beer. gets the job done but not quite as good as the imports! :-)

Says the englishman...

in canada theres lots of growers. so there are not as much importings. and smaller sales, nothing more than 100 lb usually. and that would prolly be an outdoor harvets. lol

My little fish used to sell weed small time in the UK and he'd generally pick up a half bar (4.5 ounces), and sell it in Eighths (£20), Quarters (£40), Halves (£60-70) and Ounces (£120-140~).
He usually bags up how much he'd need to sell to get his money back, and then he'd have a juicy amount left over for himself, of which sometimes if he needed quick money he would sell in tens or even five-bits (£10 for ~1.4g and £5 for ~0.7g respectively).
Free smoke is always a nice thing :)
Of course this is only small-scale, so it's not too relevant, but I know of dealers who sell bars (9 ounces, which is 250 grams, a quarter of a kilo), and then half kilo's and kilo's.
Over that amount I'm assuming it's done in kilograms over here in England, until you get to like a tonne :O

there is no set scale, only that large amounts are moved by pound denomination in north america. there's rarely a weed surplus since there are almost as many people dealing as there are people smoking so growers just move all that they can for as much as they can get for it

^ ... okay...I'm not exactly a noob... this is how it goes round my parts

Dimes, Grams, Eighths, Quarters, 1/2 Zips, Zips, QPs, HPs, Pounds, Some multiple of pounds til you get to 25

25 pounds is called a quarter case

50 pounds is called a half case

100 pounds is called a case.

Then anything higher is just an amount of cases

Example: 300 pounds is 3 cases.

Once again, I am not familiar with the imported weed, such as mexican reggies/schwag, and canadian beasters, I am strickly talking high grade Home grown.

And trust me, It is hard to grow even 1000 pounds Here.

Speaking from the United States.
