I made a post in OD, but figured a thread here would get better answers.

If anyone has a quick source/answer for these questions it would be greatly helpful.

1) What is the water solubility of methadone in water?
2) The synthetic tasting, cherry flavored red syrup I get, I'm assuming it contains l,d-methadone hcl. Does anyone have a list of the ingredients, and would any of those have an effect on water solubility?
3) Methadone vs Lope in the G.I. track. Does anyone know if methadone or lope is stronger in the G.I. track? I've been thinking I could take lope on top of methadone at the end of the day, and it would help with G.I. problems in between dosages.

I've been searching but having a hard time coming up with the numbers I'm looking for. If sources are had it will help.

1. It is soluble in water at 48.5 mg/L (25°).
Solubility (g/100 mL): water 12; alcohol 8; chloroform 3; isopropanol 2.4; practically insoluble in ether and glycerol.

2.
METHADONE SYRUP is a bright, ambercoloured
syrup, with a spicy odour. It is supplied
to your clinic or pharmacy in bottles of 200 mL
and 1 L.
Ingredients
Each one mL of METHADONE SYRUP contains
the active ingredient methadone hydrochloride 5
mg.
METHADONE SYRUP also contains:
• sodium benzoate
• ethanol
• sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallising)
• glycerol
• caramel
• flavour pharmaceutical 503.978/A
• water-purified

The formula may vary, but in general the sol. of methadone is going to stay pretty high.

3. G.I tract. And This one I honestly don't know about. Methadone is pretty strong, though. At least equally as strong as loperamide.
