Heroin Questions about heroin withdrawals

Hi. I was addicted to heroin pretty badly for a while, and would go through some pretty serious withdrawals, I was using everyday several times a day. I stopped using for a couple months..except for like once or twice. Well recently, I got 3 grams, and used that everyday until I was out, for about a week. Well, I went through a day of withdrawing. I started feeling pretty crappy... Runny eyes, sneezy, diarhea, very achy couldn't eat. So I broke down, and bought one more gram. I used that up in about a day. So I was prepared to suffer through the withdrawals this time. But to my surprise....I am not feeling much of it. It has been about 2 days since I used. And other than feeling a little lethargic and not much of an appetite, I feel ok. It is so weird. I usually feel terrible. Wonder why I started feeling bad withdrawals, then I used one more day, and then no serious withdrawals. Maybe it worked sort of as a taper?

It's possible, although highly unlikely. Are there any other factors involved? I mean, when I w/d from heroin for the first day or two I didn't normally feel any pain or had any problems. I would just be tired and lethargic as fucked, and a little depressed because I, A wasn't using heroin, and B knew I had w/d to look forward to on day three.

I have used a lot. And with me. I always feel shitty after 24 hours. But this time.....I feel ok. I actually feel somewhat normal. Doesn't make any sense to me, but I am not complaining
