My friend was in an accident a little more than 3 years ago. He fractured his knee cap and his wrist. The doc prescribed him 5mg percs. He started taking them for 3 months and when taking 3 of those huge pills was not doing enuf for him, he started swallowing a half of a blue every 6 hours then over time it went up to 7-10 whole 30's a day. One day, he couldn't get his hands on blues and he was wd'ing. His other friend who does blues also and was also wd'ing said I know a guy that has "H". He asked him do u wanna try it. They both did the H and he has been on it for around 8 months now. Around 2 years ago, he stopped taking the blues for 3 months by using suboxone. He started with 1 and a half strips a day of the 8's and at the end of the 3rd month he was only taking a half of an 8 a day. He relapsed because he had a stomach ulcer and nothing would help over the counter so he took a blue and it started up again. So at the present moment he is on H. He uses a bundle every 2 days, so 5 bags or so a day or maybe slightly more. He wants to get clean because he is tired of feeling like shit, nodding out in his office chair, and waking up in the middle of the night wd'ing and also the morning which is the worst. He is wondering what route he should go. Taper down, Suboxone, Subutex, detox, methodone, whatever. He can't go to detox or rehab because he is self employed and people depend on him. He appreciates any info anyone could give. Quitting cold turkey is out of the question because he is scared of seizures and dying. Also, he does not take H to get hi, he takes it to normalize himself and level him out. No one can tell what he is taking or that he is on anything. Once an a while he takes it to get hi. He is not banging it. Only snorting. He never touched a needle. He is also prescribed 120 15mg oxys a month from his doctor. He uses that in place of the H and takes less H a day and he feels better. Should he taper down by using the oxys to get off the H and then take it from there? The 120 that he was getting a month is no where close to what he needs in a months time and buying the 30s on the street is way too expensive for him to handle.
