hey yall its me again. sooo i went to my regular doc today and explained to her that i was tappering off my suboxone and was feeling very anxious. she prescribed me busbar i dont know alot about them. i know thet dont fuck u up which wasnt what i was looking for anywayz but i was wanting some feed back from anyone that takes them for anxiety. also she has prescribed me 50 mg seroquel for sleep any feed back would b great!! thanx Miranda

Buspar is a kind of hit or miss, and you have to wait two to three weeks for it to begin to work. But for a lot of people it's a useless anxiolytic.

buspar sucks. really shitty med that likely won't help. seroquel is an antipsychotic that will knock you out, so that may be helpful.

don't bother with the buspar though.

Buspar is just different for everyone. More or less, expect about a week of rather nasty side effects. Then within about two weeks it will start working if it's something that's going to work for you.

The good news is, that when it works, it works well. And there is no high from it, so no temptation for abuse, and no withdrawal when you quit taking it.

Imo, it's at least worth the try.

Buspar sucks IMO but different things effects different people in different ways. I was on them a month and they done nothin for me. Just made me feel sick, dizzy and had even worse of a mental state on them gettin suicidal thoughts. That's just me though.

I was on 5mg ones, two a day. I stopped takin them, no withdrawal off them thankfully, that's the only good thing.

I had a really bad reaction to Buspar. I'm not trying to scare you into not taking it, if your doctor thinks it's a good idea then I would try it. Buspar takes a few weeks to start working (i.e, reducing anxiety).

I'm currently prescribed seroquel, but I don't use it because it knocks me out for days. 50mg is a pretty low dose though so I'm sure you will be fine. If you find 50mg to be too strong talk to your doctor about maybe cutting that in half, or even ask about trying the Seroquel extended release.
